Habitat for Humanity and other like services are one of the greatest ideas and projects that have come along in this century.  It gives people who would otherwise never be able to afford a home of their own a chance to be a part of society and a meaningful member of that society.  Gives them pride of ownership and raises their knowledge of themselves as a person.  The homes are built with their total input which also raises their estimation of true worth in themselves  ~  that they have contributed to their own selves and what they can accomplish.  In some areas, they have not only to build their own home, but help with the construction of the homes in their area before they can move into their own.  Think it is a great, marvelous way in which to build more families into meaningful members of our society.
