In it's own class, the HTC Sprint Touch Pro 2

By

from Kirksville, MO

Comments about HTC - Sprint Touch Pro2 Cell Phone:

This phone came out as an upgrade to the HTC's popular Touch Pro. It brought along with it several key features that the Touch Pro lacked. For starters, the HTC touch pro 2 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a newer gen processor and a much more responsive 3.6" screen. This phone has an active community of developers and hackers on xda developers who develop numerous useful apps and code to run on the mobile to enhance it's features even more. An example is a program called Haret used to boot Android on this phone. Android run, smooth actually, with many features working. There are also apps that let you track your phone using GPS in rea-time if, let's say, someone was runnning off with it.

The phone is snappier than its predecessor, much more aesthetically pleasing. The speakers are really powerful and they barely crack on high volumes. The phone comes with WiFi in addition to EVDO from sprint (if your plan comes with it). The HTC Sense interface really makes the phone really user friendly. The screen also tilts to offer a better viewing angle for watching movies, for example.

Great phone from HTC & Sprint

By

Comments about HTC - Sprint Touch Pro2 Cell Phone:

I've had my Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 for awhile now and I turned it into a Touch HD with a simple upgrade and boy has that made a difference in call quailty and signal strenght. I really like having a choice between a touch screen and a full keyboard, cause when I'm waiting at doctor appointments or just waiting for my wife in the store I can send and recieve text a lot more easier. There are 2 minor problems that more then a few people have complained about, which is the fact that the battery life to me really sucks and the edge's of the 2 clam shelf surface's are not even anymore. The reason I got the phone was because of hearing that I could turn it into a Touch HD and I'm very pleased with the outcome. We live in a very rural area that is always in roaming and this is the best phone I've had that does work in this area. I would highly recommend this phone to people that live in the rural area's

Best Phone I Ever Had!

      Best Uses

Comments about HTC - Sprint Touch Pro2 Cell Phone:

The HTC touch Pro2 from Sprint is the best phone that I have ever had! Its functionality is limitless! The features of the phone are great especially the software update to windows mobile 6.5. The device is fast and responsive however it requires a reset now and again to freshen up the memory cache. If you are a little bit tech savvy, you can do some amazing things with this phone. People have booted Android on this device as well as a Linux distribution known as Kubuntu. Many people classify the Sprint TP2 more as a UMPC (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer) than as just a phone due to its seemingly unlimited features. From its tilting screen to its spacious keyboard to its 3.2 megapixel camera, this is an amazing device. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who needs to keep track of things on the go as well as just an everyday user. For the price, this is the best phone on the market!
