The HTC Snap is my new best friend!

5

First off I want to say that I love this phone.  Now let me tell you why. Before owning the HTC Snap I was a Palm Centro user for almost two years.  I wrapped my life around a phone that had great organizational features.  I tired of the small screen and heavy phone.  So I decided to upgrade.  I went to the Samsung Exclaim, and returned that phone in five days.  Im not good with constant sliding. But onto the Snap.  The phone is super thin and very lightweight.  It may feel a little cheap because it is so lightweight, this is because it is all plastic.  However with Windows installed I couldn't be happier.  The phone has a super fast web browser that in some areas is actually faster than my home computer.  great 2.0 camera and email features.  I found online that I can actually download free apps to this phone just like I did with my palm.  Another plus!! It offers the full qwerty keypad and was so easy to learn I didn't even need to read my manual. The ONLY negative would be battery life.  I have my phone set to check my email every ten minutes and because of this it does drain faster than if I didnt have it set too.  So if you talk alot on your phone you might want a travel charger.  But otherwise I would recommend this phone to EVERYONE!

Good Phone, it's smart, but not fancy or flashy

The HTC Snap is a solid smart-phone. While it doesn't quite stuck up with the phones that are out today, it gets the job done. The HTC Snap comes with the Windows Mobile Operating System, version 6.1. It's not a slick interface, but it's functional. In fact, that's the story of this phone: useful, but not fancy. If you want something to show your friends or want to look cool, this phone is not for you. E-Mail synching is very easy on this phone, I am able to very easily retrieve my Yahoo, Hotmail, and School e-mail form here. The bundled Internet Explorer Web-Browser is slow, but if you install the Opera browser, that will make web-browsing on this phone a much more enjoyable experience. Battery life on this phone is not good, I generally have to charge my phone every night, there is no way the phone has enough power to get through the next day. There aren't a lot of apps available for this phone, limiting its functionality. The Camera does not have a flash, although the camera itself takes good pictures. Construction-wise the phone seems durable and has good call quality. The web-access is good, just make sure to install the Opera browser.

HTC SNAP - THE NOT SO SMART PHONE!

3

I picked the HTC Snap because of the great feeling/sized qwerty keyboard, and the good size of the phone(fits in my pocket!) Only to come to have NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS with this phone. It freezes and is incredibly slow, and when i have had problems with it not receiving texts, I was told by Sprint all I can do to fix it is do a master reset - which I have to do like every two weeks! The camera on it SUCKS compared to other phones that came out at similar times - which makes no sense, because most other HTC phones have great cameras. The shell has held up incredibly well to the abuse I have put this phone through, I can't tell you how often I have dropped it, And i love the windows Word and notepad features to transfer things to and from work. The speakerphone is way too quiet, and even the regular mode hearing people is often difficult. Overall this is an average phone and if you only text and make phonecalls, it would be fine..but it would not be good for much else! Pass this phone up for something better, this has to be HTC's worst phone ever.
