Terrible customer service that continues to fall

I have had more trouble with HP/Compaq than any other company. The customer service is just terrible. Now they are getting to the point where you relay all your information to someone and then they transfer to someone else depending on your answers. Then they ask for all that information over again. If you can understand either one over the phone, than you already have an advantage. Overseas customer service is NOT always a good thing. I constantly have to call multiple times because the person does not understand what I am saying. Problems persist even though they repair "everything".... review »

Will rip you off

budget conscious, a PC User, not rich, a busy person, Every day computer user, looking for durability, always online, appreciative of good customer service

I bought my desk computer, Pc and hardrive over 5 years ago. About a year ago my warranty to call in anytime and get service was up and me not being so up with the hardrive cleaning software, I figured I'd buy 2 more years after their proding.

I should say that service in my area for high speed is not so attainable soo

My computer was acting up, completely freezing up and I called them for help. They told me before they could help they need me to fax them my reciept from 5 years ago saying that I bought the computer from them.
