My 73 year old mom who is always on the phone with HP support has had her share of issues. One they thought they would sell her items she didn't need. "Window's office" and something else. I work in computer hardware and knew she didn't need it nor would she use it. I called and got someone from the US and this guy was cool. I told them to put on her account NOT to sell her items she didn't need and these needed to go back to them. He didn't miss a beat and all the expensive items that were sold to her were sent back, paid by HP.
They would keep her on the phone up to 6 hours at a time which was making her sick. She a called me and asked how you put in a memory card. HUH? She is 73, has parkenson's, and they know she is not very knowing of computers. She didn't need that, she just needed a good defrag and cleaning. So please be aware if they try selling you something. Check with a local computer person that knows their stuff first. I love my HP, but I agree, their customer service needs a lot of work. Mom did find out, if she couldn't understand the person she had on the phone she could ask for someone that speaks better English. I didn't know you could do that, but it worked for her.
HP customer service needs a lot of work. They also shouldn't sell people items they don't really need. Shame on them for taking advantage of people who are not computer techs.
