The HP Touchsmart tm2 is a great tablet...with only a few issues
The HP touchsmart tm2 is a great tablet. The build quality, as compared to most HP computers, is exceptional, at least as far as the case goes. The metal case looks great, and the swivel mechanism is very solidly built. The speakers are excellent, and the screen is pretty high quality. The chiclet keyboard is very easy to use and feels great, and the touchscreen is very responsive. My biggest complaint with the computer so far has been with the operating system. Windows is just frustrating, and still freezes up frequently. My other complaint is that occasionally the screen freezes in a certain orientation, and can be frustrating to correct when it does. I wish the screen was responsive to tilt so it decides on orientation. The battery life is fair for the most part if you use lower power settings, and it is nice if you have the ATI graphics card. The hard drive is nice and large, and the computer runs pretty speedily for the most part. I wish the computer had an internal optical drive, but the external CD/DVD drive is very nice.
