I tend to give the benefit of the doubt more oftentimes than not.
When my HP notebook required service (it's under warranty), I called the technical support center. I wasn't surprised when I learned it was in India. This is not a big problem for me.
The problems arose when I asked them to ship me the empty box to send my computer in for service. They wanted to send it to my home. I told them I worked during the day so they should send it to my office. I was speaking to a customer service rep online in a chat-situation, so I typed my work address for them. And then I waited. Let me start by saying this is not a review about hp.com but about their customer service.
For years I had been buying hp products (computers and printers), I got a laptop from hp and somehow one day it turned off and wouldn't turn back on. I tried doing what I knew the customer service would tell me to do but did not work, so I called. An indian guy picks up, with a heavy accent but I really did not mind. He told me to take the computer apart so I did but it did not work, he apologized and said they would send a box to my house through fedex so they could fix it. The next week I called back because...

Purchased special configuration laptops (2). $4000 spent DVD doors hard to open because trim gets in the way. Fingerprint security never worked on one unit. Over 20 hours of tech support did not resolve problem. Tone control adjust by it self and inhibits working with programs with was found to be intermittent. The edge trim on the edges will fall off. The DVD door trim fell off. I ended up gluing it back on. The 21 day return starts when you order so if you did like I did and added memory larger drive which takes longer to build because others...

HPShopping.com is a wonderful site. I can easily search for exactly what I am looking for. And the selection is awesome. I have never ordered anything and then get a phone call later saying that they are out of stock.
I the part I love the most is that I can find out everything I could possibly know about each aspect of each computer. I can compare the computers that I am interested in, find out about processors, and all of the hardware. There are buying guides for every peripherial available. I can also choose the computer I want and customize it for all of my needs.
