This is a great first digital camera

practical, a comparison shopper, cost-conscious, willing to pay more for quality

This is a great starter camera if you've never used a digital camera before. There are intuitive buttons and easy to navigate menus. It even records video with sound. Although it is only 5 megapixels, the pictures produced are really crisp and clear. Also, its is very easy to upload pictures to your pc with the software and cable provided. If you have a memory card you can transfer the pictures directly to your computer or print them at a photo kiosk.

The Photosmart M447 digital camera is the best one I have ever used. I have tried several different brands but this one is the best. It has a zoom lens that comes out when turned on. It is much easier to turn the flash on or off and easier to delete unwanted photos from it. You also don't have to have a special battery for it. Two double A's are all you need. It is also easier to return to the main menu when changing the settings on your camera as there is a back button underneath the menu button. It takes exceptionally good pictures too. Mine also came bundled with a small compact photo printer....

Good value for a starter camera

I purchased this camera for my mother as a Christmas gift. She had been talking about getting one, so I thought I would move her along a little. It is a nice camera, and is easy to program and use. The only problems I see with this camera are that you have to switch modes to review photos and the display often appears more blurry than the actual photo turns out.
