This is a reliable, fast quality printer. It also scans and makes copies. Easy set up. The photographs are outstanding! It produces pictures better than I get at a picture processing outlet. It is also compact and does not take up a lot of space on your desk. The design is visually appealing.

This is my very first camera and it has served me well. It is SD memory card compatible and takes great pictures. The pictures are clear and crisp and it doesn't even have a high pixel count.Its handy, light and takes AA batteries. Its best to use Lithium batteries bc the regular Alkaline or rechargeable ones don't seem to do the trick. With the Lithium batteries you can get an obscene amount of pictures without needing more batteries.HP tech support is great and if you purchase an extended warranty....you will be able to get a replacement camera free of charge.Great buy.

This is a super camera for the beginner or intermediate user. Takes great snapshots in any light with lots of features for editing, sharing, creating.  And fabulous support from HP. Uses SD memoriy cards, double AA batteries and with the Lithium battery I can get over 1200 picutres on a set of batteries.  Forget using regular alkaline or rechargeables: you'll spend all your tiem changing batteries.

We have had the Hewlett-Packard Photosmart M417 digital camera for about 4 years now. It has been dropped, stepped on, stuffed into a purse that got tossed around and stepped on, all without a case, and it is still going strong. It takes good quality pictures, great for family trips and kids school stuff and parties. It holds a standard SD card, and has a pretty decent battery life. It does take the Lithium batteries, which are a little expensive, but they do last a while. I has a good zoom, but not the best. I do not know how much this camera cost, as it was a gift, but after 4 + years it is still going strong. I would say that it was worth the price. I like that it has a digital view finder and an optical one. One thing I have noticed is that one of the buttons on the back is sticking, but as i said, this camera is 4 years old, and we have 3 kids who love to play with mommy and daddy's stuff. So with all the wear and tear, this camera has withstood. Definitely a good value.

The Hewlett Packard Photosmart M417 digital camera is amazing. It is very easy to use, the writtin directions are clear and it is fun! I love this camera , and will never use a camera with film again. Also, HP brand seems to be quite reliable. I have had my camera ~3+ years now, use it frequently and have never had any mechanical/technical problems.

HP Photosmart M417 is a great digital camera for beginners that has high quality.  The zoom is 7x and costs a value.  The different scene selections include beach and snow, landscape, portrait, action, and more.  These options allow for different pictures to be taken to allow for a creative angles for pictures.  The camera has a hand that can be seen in the LCD to warn that the picture is blurry.  There is a video clip picture that can be used but the picture needs to be close and not far away.  The video can be seen on the LCD but no sound will be heard until uploaded onto the computer.  The camera is a great product to have and can achieve benefits of professional pictures.
