I needed a new printer and a new scanner so for christmas 2 years ago my husband came across this Photosmart HP all in one.  I love the quality of the scans.  It even makes great copies. You can tell it whether you want a black & white copy or a color copy.  It is able to connect to your wireless network and everyone can print to it.  The picture quality is excellent.  There are card reader ports on the front of the printer so you can print pictures directly without uploading to a pc or you can upload to a pc from the printers ports.  The only problem I have had with it is that I do have to have a pc connect via USB to be able to scan.  I just grab a laptop and hook up to do any scans, otherwise the printer is on the other side of the room or other end of the house away from the pc's.  I use the printer mainly for printing pictures and scanning, with every once in a while copying my sons report cards and such.  I have another bigger printer for handling large print jobs, mainly because of the cost of toner cartridges.

This photosmart is very smart. I can print deep qualit or I can run off multiple fast copies. It is very bversatile and easy to use. Even me, a non techie, didn't have to study it for days to get it to work.

I was looking for a multipurpose printer that i can use for printing and scanning. I bought this printer 3 years ago. The basic purpose of printer was to print but I used its scanner as well. LCD interface is pretty simple and self explainatory. Printer quality is good but can't compare it with laser jet. I basically used this printer for black and white printing. Printed few colored picture on glossey and Matte' Paper which turned out to be really good. Best thing I liked about this printer is that the scanner which gives you different options to save the documnets and pictures. Documents can automatically be created into PDF format. Setting up wirless is pretty simple. It automatically detects the wireless. Two things I didnt like about this printer is if you dont have updated driver it usually skip pages while printing other thing is the cartiridges are not easy to find. Like other HP printers, it doesnt come with 2 cartridge. This printer comes with 6 cartridges which are relatively smaller in size. Over all I would rate it 7 of 10.

this is the best printer i have ever bought. i had heard a lot of great things about hp products & now a believer. this is a great all-in-one, makes perfect photos, copies, faxes & scans. i have only had to buy 3 ink cartridges in the 2 yrs i've owned. hp ink is the cheapest & easiest to find. i had a couple of lexmarks and the ink cost as much as the printer. Another bad thing about lexmark printers if your color cartridge goes out you can't print in black. don't have this problem w/ hp! i love my hp!
