great computer

By

from Roanoke, VA

Comments about HP Pavilion Notebook PC:

The first part of December, I purchased an HP Pavillion d6227 laptop notebook as an early Christmas gift for my youngest son(age 18). Unlike  his previous notebook, the Pavillion has the cd burner made into it. This computer has a snipping tool that is used for copying. There are other features  but when my son tried to explain I was not computer savvy enough to understand. The HP Pavillion d6227 notebook also came with Microsoft Word installed. This feature  was not available on any of our previous laptops.   Microsoft Word is a necessity for my son's school work. And I did not  want to pay to download it. I like this computer. My son has not complained once about it going to slow or freezing up or shutting itself down. It seems at least for now to be free of the quirks of other computers. Time will tell for how long. The fact that my son is enjoying the computer speaks volumes as teenagers have to have the latest gadgets. So this is working well.  That is until something new comes along. Technology seems to be speeding up and producing new and better at an alarminbg rate but today the HP Pavillion d6227 is the answer in my home.

HP Pavilion dv6227cl is good but not great

By

Comments about HP Pavilion Notebook PC:

HP Pavilion dv6227cl  it had  a dual hard drive which i thought was going to be a good thing but it slowed everything down and it only gave me access to half of the storage on the hard drive. not being very computer savy it was confusing to me. it came preloaded with a bunch of software i have never used which takes up a lot of memory. had a webcam and microphone built in and had a lightscribe labeling soft ware which was pretty cool.it had a dual cd/ dvd burner-which came very handy when making copies for my professional hypnosis organization. I got error messages on a fairly regular basis saying to contact windows if it continues. I had windows vista home premium operating system which was always giving me trouble with error messages with locked up systems and a host of other problems. not being a techie I didn't have a clue how stop this or fix it. windows told me to call the tech services and tech services said it was a software problems office depot said too much time had passed since my purchase and warranty service's said it was a software problem not covered by warranty. otherwise i liked its performance.

HP Pavillion dv6227 is PC with both cons an pros.

Comments about HP Pavilion Notebook PC:

I bought my Hewlett Packard Pavillion dv6227 PC a couple years ago. It is still ticking fine, but not without a lot of bumps in the way. The PC overheats very easily and doesn't play many games properly. I've had to send it any several times because it was broken and wouldn't work. One of the perks of this laptop is the built in webcam, took me a while to learn how to use it, but once I did it was almost indispensable. The mouse pad takes some practice, but that as well can be mastered. It was fairly easy to start using right away, quite user friendly. It doesn't have much disk space for my needs. A year after I bought my PC the disk drive started acting funny. Today, it won't even work. Technicians told me you can't replace/fix the disk drive without serious work/money. Without the disk drive it's impossible to play games or CDs, and that was the main reason I bought my PC. I believe the cons slightly out weigh the pros in this product and would adivse you to buy another HP besides this paticular model.
