I am so disappointed in this HP computer and all HP products that I have for that matter. Their customer service is terrible and they are not willing help when it is their product that is faulty. I bought this laptop and the hard drive died within a month. Since it was under warranty, they replaced the hard drive, but would not give me a new computer. If I wanted a refurbished computer, I would have bought a refurbished one for a lot less than I spent on this one and in my opinion, replacing the hard drive constatutes as it being refurbished. Then, after 5 months of having it, the battery completely died to the point where it has to be plugged in at all times. As soon as it is unplugged, it shuts down. I will never buy another HP product.

I received this laptop as a gift and I'm amazed at how this laptop performs. I'm able to run games and programs with no problem. The hard drive is near silent and the fan is running like it's not even there. The laptop is also easy to carry around as it is lightweight at about 4 pounds. The wide screen monitor gives good colors and the exterior design is eye catching. The processor is super fast, I'm able to open programs instantly with no waiting time. The drawback is with the keyboard. It does not have a separate numeric keypad. If you do lots of Excel work, you will be glad there is one but this laptop does not. I don't use the numeric keypad much so this lack of feature did not affect me. It also lacks a built-in camera but I easily added an external one myself. I would highly recommend this laptop to any one looking for quality and not having to spend too much money on a laptop.

If I had a choice of the newest computers, or my three year old HP dv6830 pavillion laptop, I would definitely choose my pavillion laptop over any other computer that I have tried in the last 3 years. This computer is user friendly, easy to learn all the ins and outs and upgrading software to the new windows 7 was a breeze. I only had trouble with it one time and ended up having to use my system restore, but with a good bit of printed confirmations, and keeping every email from anything I had ordered for my computer over 2 years, it didn't take long to have everything reloaded and back up and running. The graphics are great, with constant upgrading from windows and hp that is free when you sign up with a new computer, this one stays ready for just about anything I need it to do. I have added a speaker bar, 2 usb extenders......4 port....a bamboo pen tablet, a samsung hdtv monitor, printer, and a 1 TB hard drive to keep up with me......I use it more for a desktop, but I know if I needed to I could disconnect and go at any time. I absolutely love the webcam. I talk with my son in Dallas and after not seeing him for months on end, it sure is good to be able to actually talk face to face to him. The only thing I would change if I could, would be to add the numerical keypad like the larger notebooks have, even if it meant shrinking the keys a cm or two......
