I bought this specifically as a backup computer for my home business. I was able to use all my high-needs software programs, such as web design software without issues. I also tend to have multiple windows open and various programs running in the background. I didn't experience freezes or crashes. The only real issue I've had with this computer is that it takes a very long time to do just about anything. If that isn't an issue for others, this is a fine computer that has lasted a number of years. It is still going and probably will for a few more. Ease of Use The only reason I'm giving this computer a fairly low score is because it is slow. Otherwise, it is very easy to navigate. The keyboard is the best I've ever used. The touchpad is responsive, but not overly so. Battery Life I can get about 5 hours out of my battery. Support & Service HP has been very supportive even on the smaller issues. I haven't had any large issues with my computers that are still in warranty. This one hasn't needed anything besides software updates. Speed/Performance Slow, very slow. However, I wonder how slow it would be if I had upgraded the chip. Design Best keyboard ever! I love the design. It's easy to clean and isn't any hotter than any of my other computers. Durability It's about 3 years old and still working well.

It was a good laptop for it's time but I never got used to Vista OS. I constantly flipped back to my XP laptop and eventually I gave in. Now with OS seven and eight, I have to go through the learning curve once again. Ease of Use It's easy enough to use once you understand how Vista works. That's my biggest problem. I never got comfortable with Vista like I did with XP and now 7. Battery Life I have never had a battery in any laptop I've owned last more than a year or two before it starts to lose it's charge. This is no different. Support & Service HP has always been pretty good at support issues but Vista has had a lot of bugs over the first few years it came out. Speed/Performance In it's time it was OK. Now, it's too slow and with only a gig of ram, it needs to be traded in or upgraded quite a bit. Design It's a good design and it fits my style well. This is an old computer folks. You may find one in your local computer repair store. If you are looking to buy one of these, make sure it has Windows 7 and at least 2 gigs of ram. Durability Very durable since I've had mine since 2008. That's a long time for a computer. HP makes workhorses.

Great size to take with you for traveling, has a good size screen and a full keyboard and a number pad. It is super fast and I would recommend this even as a substitute for a desktop computer. Ease of Use I don't think that you can beat the price for what you get. This is a larger sized laptop which is what I wanted. Battery Life The battery life seems to be equal or better than in my laptop that I was replacing. I keep mine plugged in most of the time but when I travel the battery always holds several hours and then I just plug it in again. Support & Service I keep buying HP but truthfully it's only because most of the time their products work well and last. If my purchase was made based on their support and service department, I would never purchase HP products. Speed/Performance I was surprise that this laptop is super fast. I didn't realize how slow my other laptop was. I did upgrade the memory and suggest that you consider that option. Design Love the size and the way that it operates. It is a little more inconvenient to carry but the size of the screen make it worthwhile. Durability If it last as long as my old HP, I would be happy.

I bought this laptop to use for college. It was great! It was light enough to carry with me, powered up fast, and worked for everything I could possibly need. I even hooked it up to my tv from time to time and watched movies on it. It was a great buy. About a year after buying it, however, the hard drive crashed! That was not great at all. I got it fixed and it has been great ever since.

I had this for over a couple months and there are already way to much problems with this laptop. The design and all is great and looks amazing but the software and everything is a mess. It is too prone to viruses and other issues. The computer itself lagged way to much. I switched to a mac and life became a lot simpler.

Purchase this HP knowing you will be covered by one of the best companies in the business - operating since 1939. The workmanship on this laptop is exceptional, right down to the extra covering on the keys to keep dirt from going under the keys. There are the right number of ports for add ons and cards. Fan vents on the side instead of all on the bottom to help keep it running cooler. And I had to have the computer repaired and there were only two weeks left on the manufacturer's warranty. A prepaid box full of padding was shipped to me, free shipping to them and sent back in days and this was during the week of Christmas. I am thrilled with this laptop in all ways. Ease of Use This computer is fine for any member of the family. Its perfect for running my work documents and art and photos and my home needs. My grandchildren can work this laptop better than I can. It was a breeze to wirelessly setup the router, the wireless printers, yes, two wireless printers. This computer has not let me down in any way. I am more that satisfied with all it's functions and ease of use. Support & Service Again I cannot say enough about on the phone support - I could even understand the English of the support persons, so rare today in the outsourcing companies do today. They walked me through all the steps to try to restore my screen, which went black. Then they sent the prepaid box, and at Christmastime, I still was awarded the finest of service with speed and courtesy. I am sold on HP products. I hope you give them a chance with this laptop. Durability I carry this laptop from my store to my home twice a day and I find this case and screen and even the port for my wireless mouse safe and tight no matter how much I move it around. I have even dropped it and there was no ramification.

This laptop is super slow and very bulky. It always overheats so bad and i can never put this laptop on my lap. I always need to put a cooling pad below this laptop to use or else after using it for 30 minutes the laptop shuts down itself due to overheating. Moreover it makes terrible sound from the processor if i try to run more than 2 applications at a time. It is useful to play games. This HP laptop is only for those who use it for basic stuff. I will never buy this laptop or any hp laptops in future . The only use if can find with this laptop is to use for watching movies and hearing songs because the video and audio quality are very good . The webcam also works well .

We have had this laptop for awhile and it does everything that I need. It is durable and we have not had any problems with it. We put a virus protection on the laptop and it does wonders. I have not problems with speed or bugs. I download picture on to it, browse the Internet, write document and watch movies on it. We use it all the time with the digital copies of movies. We can use it anywhere and at anytime. It is easy to transport and easy to charge. The only problem I have is that the battery life is not the greatest and the cord is a little big. Other then that, I love this laptop and would recommend it to anyone that does not want to spend a fortune but needs a great laptop.

Battery Life The battery life is good. Im using this one 10 hours a day. Battery doesnt heat. The laptop i was using before was heating fast. cant work on lap. This one pretty cool. Support & Service I have not use their support facility yet. But the help and support icon gives everything in detail. Design Design is Awesome.It sleek and glossy. I used to take this college. Even my friends like the design. Durability Excellent. Im using this for more than ten hours,My baby is also using this, its stable model. No heat up. I like this.

I really love this laptop because it is powerful and portable and is perfect for completing tasks for home and work. It runs faster than other laptops I have had and has a large storage capacity and long battery life. It is easy to use and the touchpad mouse makes using programs easy along with the keyboard. It is easy to find your files and store and create documents and has a high quality entertainment quality for playing audio and movies. Battery Life The battery seems to last about eight hours at a time which is long enough to get stuff done when on the go. I take this with me when I travel and it charges up quickly to use again. Support & Service I haven't had to use the support and service parts of this laptop, but it is nice to know it is available if I need it. I like that it routinely checks your computer to keep it running well and I haven't had any problems.
