So let's begin with the basics. Like most any laptop, this one meets all of my basic needs and requirements. It allows me to get on the internet, download music, upload pictures and does all of this with ease. The screen is more than enough for working, playing, or watching movies. The laptop itself is fairly light when considering the screen size but it is not very portable as I consider this laptop to be more of a desktop replacement. I haven't had that many problems or issues with it but the ones that have come up have been significant. The fan overheats very quickly so I had to purchase an additional laptop fan for it. When this happens, it becomes VERY loud and noisy. According to consumer reports that are issued yearly, HP laptops also have the highest hardware failure rate of any brand that is tested and I have found this to be true in my experience as well having had to restore the hard drive twice. Most frustrating is that the power button became dislodged to the point that I had to forcefully press on it several times just to boot up the computer.

I obtained one of these laptops last year for Christmas and it takes care of all of my needs.  It has a good sized screen and is light and portable.  I haven't had too may problems with it.  Just do not lay it down on soft things because when I laid it on my bed, the couch, or my lap, it got really hot then the fan became very loud so I've had to buy a new fan which was expensive since my warranty had JUST run out.  I recommend getting a cooling pad for it but other than that my laptop has been totally fine.  I rely on it for long periods of time to do research or write papers and such and it fights hard for me.  I've dropped mine a few times from about two feet up onto carpet and was worried it would be messed up but it still worked, so that was good.  HP laptops are the best, I think.  I've had problems with Dells and Macs but I haven't had any major problems with my HP yet.  I expect my computer to last years to come because my dad also has an HP and he's had it for more than 5 years.  If you want a laptop thats light, has a pretty big screen, has no major problems and is great to watch videos, play games on and do school stuff, the HP Pavillion DM3 PC is a good choice for you!

This laptop has met all my needs as far as getting on the internert and loading my pictures in it and downloading music. It is easy to use and as far as anyone that hasn't used a laptop this is the one that anyone can use with ease.
