very light but lacking in power

3

My girlfriend got me this netbook for Christmas. I was eying it for several months. I must say it's pretty light. It's perfect if you're always traveling and want to stay connected, watch a movie, or catch up on work. I was comparing it to the Ipad and it's definitely cheap than the Ipad but it's no Ipad. This is my first Hp. I've always purchased Toshiba or Dell but I wanted to give HP a try since they've gained popularity over the years but I can say I'm impressed. Pros: The battery life is great. I've had this netbook in the back of my car for days and it usually hibernates and conserves all the battery power. I surf the net a lot and the battery have last me for hours...more than any other devices I've own in the past. It's portable and light. I carry it in my bag pack with another laptop and sometimes 2 other laptops and load of crap. I've replace my other laptop with it since I use to use it for surfing. Cons: First the screen looks clumsy. There's something just not right about the graphic compared to the other netbooks I've looked at. Second, it's slow. I'm always getting a high usage message. It gets annoying especially when I only have Internet Explorer up. I think it's good for entertainment, movies web surfing, email but you may need to look for something more powerful if you want to use it for more advanced tasks.

It's GREAT

4

First of all, I would like to say this laptop is great for people always on the go. Its light and small so it is easy to take with you anywhere. I would recommend this laptop more for people that are always surfing the net. It has Windows 7 starter, which isn't the best OS, but it is efficient enough for me to check my email, watch movies, and develop web pages. There is a lot of space for downloading music, movies, games, pictures, and videos. The battery life is great when you run your laptop at a lower setting. I get about 3 hours on the lowest setting. At the highest setting I get about 1 hour and 45 minutes. There is also a web cam and internal mic. Plus, there are many other features I don't even use like Cd/DVDs burning software. I think this laptop would be great for college students to do research for their assignments, stay in touch with their family, and just surf the web to have fun.
