The HP Officejet J5780 is very useful for home business.  It scans documents, makes necessary copies of documents, able to send several copies via Internet and email.  Its troubleshooting instructions easy to follow or you have online support.  I would recommend Officejet J5780 for home businesses.

I have had many printers in the past decade and a half--probably three times as many printers as I've had computers (at least!). This printer was bought with the intention of serving as a fax machine and scanner for a family business. For many, years it did it's job. However, just like every other "cheaper" printer I've had, it started messing up eventually. First, the color ink would no longer work. Then the copier stopped working. I guess we just used it too much and diminished it's lifespan. Now, it functions as our computer printer, and nothing more. So, if you only want to use this printer occasionally, it might be a good choice for you and your family's needs. However, if you need a multi-function printer quite frequently, you might be better off investing in a more expensive printer with a longer life expectancy. Yet, I've yet to find a printer or copier or any other office equipment that lasts longer than a few years. Best of luck!

This "all-in-on" does it all. I have had two other HP's and this one by far is the best. It prints fast in black and in color. It scans fast and does an excellent job. The color in the photographs are vivid, true, and do not smear. It also does not use alot of ink! The fax is easy to use and will hold alot of faxes should you "forget" to leave enough paper! LOL You can load a pamplet from the top to be printed. It will shuffle, and print double side with no problem. I don't know how we made it so long without this officejet!
