best mini laptop ever.... i love it

By

from San Bernardino, CA

Comments about HP Mini 311 Netbook PC:

I love my mini hp laptop would not change it for anything at all. I have no drive in it but i dont really need it at all. Really its awsome. Great size, sleek keyboard, its fun and great awsome sound system. I love how sound is on bottom of laptop long but yet large sound.First laptop I ever got and so in love with it. I take my mini laptop everywhere literlly.

i love how the graphics are the best ever on this laptop. I can see and hear you tube which I'm a big fan of. I can go on my space, facebook, yahoo chat aim for aol and even skype.super great for video chatting for others. Great battery that hardly ever dies. I never get any viruses with this mini laptop at all. Never get any problems at all.

Basically if you are a online addict foir instant messaging or yahoo or aol or my space or even facebook this is it. You dont need any other bigger laptop unless its like really nessesary i say this is pretty much the best you can do for a college student. I never do any cd roms at all so I'm fine with this laptop.

So my conclusion this mini hp laptop has it everything so why change it never. Not for now and for a while. I have pc at home so I can print I dont really print on here I only search on here or whatever i wanna print i just email too email and then open on pc and print. I like it that way or i can just connect laptop and print but i rather use pc just me. so this is the most perfect mini hp laptop.

HP Mini 311 is a decent netbook

By

from Bellevue, NE

Comments about HP Mini 311 Netbook PC:

First off let me say that battery life is amazing. It can last 6+ hours of light use of just surfing the internet.

The only con I can think of is that it can really sutter when it comes to streaming videos. Videos off a hard drive work fine though, it just can't handle the processing, though I think it is because Flash isn't great on mobile devices to begin with.

If you upgrade the ram to three gigabytes, it helps out the performance quite a lot. If you don't good luck.

Don't forget to update some of the drivers on the thing if you want to do things like disable the touchpad when you use a mouse.

You can fit this sucker anywhere like a backpack and forget that you had it in there to start with.

The single core Atom really slows it down when you are running stuff like Itunes though, my main computer isn't the fastest with it either.

Great little netbook for the money though, if you can find one used it is certainly worth it.

Eh ... disappointing.

By

from Middleburg, VA

Comments about HP Mini 311 Netbook PC:

So ... I bought this netbook when I got a job with a 1.5 hrs (each way) train commute, thinking it would help me put the time to good use, giving me flexibility and pretty much constant Internet access. I did so with lots of warnings from techie friends, who told me the netbook would move slowly, and so on. I figured that since I would pretty much only use it for light web-browsing and email, I'd be okay.

I've been overall disappointed with the quality and performance of the HP 311. It constantly freezes and crashes, making me more frustrated than capable. Also, the mousepad is so extremely touchy, I can't even think of a way to describe it. I will be typing an email, for example, and the cursor will just JUMP to another location, leaving me typing away over text I had just written.

The HP 311 mini does provide steady, dependable internet service, but the actually functionality of the computer leaves much to be desired.

Good Speed for a mini

By

from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about HP Mini 311 Netbook PC:

I have owned this computer for about 6 months and have never had problems with it.  I usually run at least three programs at once, one of them being Facebook and/or my email through AOL.  I am always doing internet research and am always able to access the web through this little work horse.

The Hewlett Packard Mini 311 is definitely worth the money!

By

from Franklinton, NC

Comments about HP Mini 311 Netbook PC:

The Hewlett Packard Mini 311 is worth the money. I recently went on a trip and instead of taking my regular sized laptop which is larger, I took the mini. It was small enough to fit in my carry-on and easy to take out whenever I needed it. The keyboard is smaller, of course, but you easily adjust.

soooo worth it

By

from Riverside, CA

Comments about HP Mini 311 Netbook PC:

if you are looking for something that is easy to carry around, then this is the laptop for you. what is more extra nice about this hp mini laptop is that it has a wi-fi broadband installed in the laptop. which means you could be able to go to any starbucks and be able to be online. if you feel that everyone if bugging you at home and you are not able to do your homework..there are other places you could go to. just to get your privacy.  this is not like a landline computer. which makes it more sweet. its small and lightweighted. not even heavy at all. i have had this laptop over an year, and it is still working very swell. i could have not asked for a better laptop and i am thinking of purchasing a new one for my boyfirend..its worth my money. and it will be worth yours too!
