Perfect Size and Excellent Color, Highly Recommended!

By

from Beaver Dam, WI

Comments about HP L1710 LCD Monitor:

This HP L1710 monitor is the monitor that I use at work everyday.  I literally stare at it for about six out of eight hours a day, so it has to be a good monitor or it would drive me nuts.  I have nothing bad to say about this monitor.  I have had it for a year and it has had no problems at all.  The color is amazing and the screen saver and pictures look perfectly clear.  The best thing I love about this monitor is the size of it.  It is a square and not a rectangle monitor, like all the ones you see out there nowadays.  The rectangle monitors distort images and it can appear like everything is stretched out.  That is really annoying and it doesnt give a clear picture.  That is why I appreciate this L1710 monitor because of it's square size and clarity.  It was easy to hook up and it is very small and flat and fits perfectly without taking up a ton of space on my desk.  I would recommend it to anyone looking for a monitor for work or home!

Display Quality
I cant watch movies or videos on this monitor and it's just like watching them on tv!

Compatibility
Works great with most systems.

Ease of Use
Plug it in and go!

HP L1710 LCD Monitor

By

from Addison, IL

Comments about HP L1710 LCD Monitor:

I have had this monitor for quite some time now. In fact I am still using it.

The controls are very easy to use. I didnt read the manual when i first set it up. The colors are quite good, just as good now as they were on day one. I am from the old school and screen burn is something I watch for and this monitor screen is still in perfect condition. I used it for years with a desktop computer and that died this past year so I got an elitebook which has a 16:9 ratio 1080 screen on it's own. I got a docking station for it and I was a bit worried about how this monitor would do with this and I was really quite surprised. i plugged it in and that was it. The monitor self adjusted which is great. I record webinars for work and on the laptop screen the recording was way to small for anyone to make out what I was typing and on this montior the problem is solved.

I havent turned the monitor off except during lightning storms and I keep it plugged into my UPS.

HP L1710 LCD Monitor lets you see the light

By

from Raleigh, NC

Comments about HP L1710 LCD Monitor:

The HP L1710 LCD Monitor is my work monitor and is a very unassuming piece of equipment that I use everyday. It does what needs to be done of it without being flashy or demanding, a very "meh" product.

The pros stem from the fact that it has a great picture and is low maintenance for its pricepoint. It has really had any problems since I've started using it so that would also be a plus in this situation. An oddity of this monitor is that it's stand can be used as a small shelf due to it's indented shape. I have utilized this daily for personal items and it is alot more reliable them placing your items around a typical monitor base. It just seems to not get in the way.

The cons wouldn't be anything negative about this machine but the fact that it is rather featureless. It only has a VGA port and not a DVI port which ideallymakes it monitor #2 in any dual monitor configuration. This isn't a big deal for us as we only utilize 1 monitor and it's something you'd know if you were looking at it to buy.

Beautiful Screen Resolution & Picture Quality!!

By

from Detroit, MI

Pros

    Cons

      Best Uses

Comments about HP L1710 LCD Monitor:

***I love LCD monitors because of the fact that they save more space than CRT monitors and their picture quality is amazing. HP's L1710 model is no exception. The first thing I noticed about this model is the ease of use of the control buttons on the front of the panel. Everything is distinguishable unlike other models that use the icons on the front. Don't get me wrong, I'm a techie too, but I just don't understand some of those icons because I don't care to learn about that "TV" stuff like screen angle and picture adjustment.***

***The picture quality is amazing. You can see all the colors and images really good. It still uses the RGB scheme, but it still looks great, though. And it doesn't burn too much electricity while in use either, so your energy bill won't skyrocket.***

***The price is also reasonable. Going on Internet, you can find one for an amazing deal nowadays due to the fact more technology is available like the introduction of yellow to the RBG color scheme and 3D. But this monitor is still impressive nonetheless.***

        ***I would definitely recommend it.***

Bright sharp iImage with great display customization options

        By

Comments about HP L1710 LCD Monitor:

The HP L1710 although not a wide screen monitor has a 17 inch display which is sharp, bright and has just about all the display setup options in the on screen menu that you would want. The display is crystal clear with no fuzziness from corner to corner with no dead pixels and is fast with a  5ms screen response time. With 1280 x 1024 screen resolution even small type is clear and easy readable with no smears or bleeding. The display comes with power and VGA cables along with a user manual and installation disk. Another plus is this monitor comes with a 3 year HP warranty. A with great monitor with the only con being no DVI input.
