Where should I begin..... First let me begin by saying that I have been an avid HP printer consumer for over twenty years. That being said, you would think I would continue to be a fan of HP. The simple answer is: not necessarily. The quality of HP printers has gone in the past years. Most of the problems with HP includes overpriced cartridges that dry quickly if the printer is not used as often, paper jam issue that are too many to list, and the overall craftmanship of the printers. In addition, HP only provides trial size version of their printer cartridges with all new printers, including this model. Besides these factors, this printer is still very useful when on the road.

don't have much background with printers, but wasn't a complete fan of this printer. I got it for cheap with my laptop for school, so I went ahead and got it. whenever I print out regular papers on it, the page skips and misprints parts of whatever writing there is on it. I haven't used it for regular photo printing yet, but something tells me it does similar bad printing on photos too. it also eats up ink like crazy, and clutters up my computer with random updates. the software completely slows down my computer if the printer isnt plugged in with it and complains that the printer's missing! ultimately just had to take off all the downloads associated with it.

Good print quality, fast and lightweight

My first printer is Canon Pixma MP540 brand. One day it was broken and after that I decided to use HP printer. Many my friends told me about its quality of printing and branding. 

Why I like it: this printer is tiny and lightweight. I didn't have any problems with installation. It prints fast and I am very satisfied with the quality. 

What I don't like in this printer: the price.... I know that we need to pay for the quality and for additional functions but we have many good printers on the market at the lower price. I also didn't use that HP printer for a long time. I know it is my mistake... but anyway I was upset when I saw that the head of the inks already dry. It is costs money to change a new printer ink cartridges

Before to buy this printer you need to answer on the next questions : how often are you going to use it? Are you sure that you did a full research on the market? Good luck!

Great Photo printer!

The Hewlett-Packard H470 Inkjet Photo Printer prints great photos. I have a Digital single lens reflex camera, a Nikon D50, and this printer makes pretty clear and precise prints for how much it costs. When I need to get really really clear photo prints I go to a printing center such as wal-mart or such, but for personal pictures this photo printer really does the trick! Like I said before, I spend a lot of my time taking stock photos, so I know a thing or two about picture quality. I wouldn't use this for my stock photo business, but, I would recommend it in a heartbeat to someone who takes a lot of family photos and needs to print them out at home, because let's face it, going out to print out every single photo you have can get quite time consuming. I have a wife and a son, so I don't have time to do that, at least not for my non business photos...so this little printer works wonders. I would recommend it.

I absolutely love this printer, it prints professional looking photos right in my home. The family loves the new pictures of me and my husband. Compared to the other photo printer the hp inkjet does a superior job, there are no smudges or ink spots on the photos and I do not have to waste time, ink and photo paper reprinting for a better photo I know I am going to get the perfect photo every time.  Although this photo printer cost more than any other printer I have tried it is worth every penny and I would not consider another photo printer ever. The Hewlett Packard H470 inkjet printer is a great item for the home. I like the capability of the mobile digital portion of this printer especially the part that will allow you to send photos from the phone directly to the printer. There's alot of printer that can do alot of things but can they do what this printer can do and be so compact with it's features. The HP H470 inkjet photo printer produces quality images everytime I use it!  This printer is designed to be small enough to be transported and easily hooked into a camera to instantaneously produce quality images that can easily print images directly from the camera.  The printer produces images that are 4800 dpi in color, and when the cartridges are full, the colors that are produced from images just jump off the page.  This printer not only runs off AC power, but also has a rechargable lithium battery that will allow the printer to be transported and not rely on an electrical outlet to produce pictures.  Unfortunately, the software that comes with the printer is an absolute pain to install on a computer with a windows seven operating system, so beware of the possible hangups that might occur.  Essentially, only the device needs to be installed, but those who are looking for more editing capabilities, this could be a problem.

The Hp H470 InkJet Photo Printer works extremely well. The pictures it prints have vibrant colors and are very clear. The printer prints rather quickly and gets the job done in high quality. It is an awesome value for the money, and well worth it if  you are looking to buy a new photo printer. This printer works for printing every day documents as well as outstanding photos. You can print the photos on ordinary paper, or you can purchase the special picture paper ( which is worth it ) You can size the photos to fit just about any size photo paper. The design of the printer itself is excellent, it is has a sleek design, and it doesn't take up too much room in the office. The only downfall is that the ink gets used up kind of quickly ( and we all know how much new ink cartriges are these days). So far I haven't had any problems with this printer and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a new printer.

I love my little HP 470 portable inkjet printer.  I have a business that requires me to travel and do paperwork on the road, and this little guy never fails to deliver.  Print quality is excellent, and with the battery and the optional wireless adapter, can go virtually anywhere.  Color and black and white printing in a nice compact portable package.  This printer is well suited for photo or text printing - whatever task u need to do, the HP470 delivers, and then some!

The size is great - small enough tonicely into a courier bag for easy transporting, but not small on print quality. Perfect for your office away from your office. You may have to purchase the battery and the wireless adapter separately, but they are well worth the investment.

All this from a name well known and trusted in the printer field.  I own 3 HP printers - each for a different aspect of my business.  They can't be beat.!

This little printer is very portable.  It has a battery that will allow you to "print on the go"  For people who need a reliable printer while working on vacation (think RV travel) and not always able to use the generators or connect to an electrical outlet, this little printer is the "cat's meow".  

This printer is versatile because it can print via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.  Unfortunately, in order to print via WiFi you will need an adapter that in my opinion is too costly.

this product is reliable, and the brand is trustworthy.  i have never had a problem with hp.  i have to do a lot of printing for home use, including photos.  this printer prints out excellent photos.  it can be costly to keep up on the ink, that is the only problem.  but i think that is the nature of the business.  i need a printer for my work, and i take this along as it is better quality than the one my work provides.  it is never a disappointment.  the helpline is great as i have had to call with questions at times.  i was not put on hold, as i have been with other brands.  time and time again this has been my printer brand of choice.  i would recommend it to my friends and family without question.  i have tried cheaper brands, but have not been at all satisfied with the quality of print outs.  one can get ripped off and be simply throwing money away with cheaper brand printers.  they won't last.

Bought this printer because of the price and because HP is a great brand. I'm glad I did; I take this with me when I travel off-site and it is a lifesaver. It has worked so well and is quick and clean. I have another compact  printer not an HP and this one runs circles around my other one. The printer is great. However, it's easy to get paper to start loading crooked if it's ready to print and the paper isn't preloaded. The WIFI printer adapter accessory can be a pain to configure / install. Light Weight, Very Portable, and convenient.

I really enjoy the portability of this printer. I like that it folds down nicely with no extra tabs or anything hanging out. It prints quickly and does an ok job. I have a couple of complaints, 1 - When the paper is fed in to be printed on it almost always prints slightly cock-eyed. Also my 2nd complaint is that it shakes a lot. You can feel the inker sliding back and forth and if it is on the table with you it tends to jerk the table a bit. I travel a lot during the summer and this works well for almost anything I need it for. I pack up the printer and go. My suggestion to people who are not going to use it frequently is to make sure that you have a back up cartridge for the black ink. I find that if it is not used all the time that the inker dries up and it can be frustrating to not have one on hand when I need it.  If I am looking for a super great print I will most likely not use this printer.

I love this printer. It has such a great build and attractive and prints out beautifully. I am so happy at the excellent quality. It is just the size I needed to take along. It solves so many issues that have inconvenienced me in the past. The printer  is better than all the other hp printers i have used. it is very compact, comes with usb port and bluetooth and is easy to print things on the go. At first the it is difficult to insert the ink cartridge as it can be a bit tricky and once its set, it prints very easily.the best thing about the printer is the fact that you can use it yto print from your mobile and any other handheld device. it can also be powered through car charger and rechargeable battery which is ultra-modern. The print quality is great no matter if it is black and white or colour and is no different from a full sized printer a all. overall i am extremely satisfied with my investment.
