For a small printer that does everything, this one is pretty amazing. I really like that it is able to do so much, but only takes up a little bit of space. I use it a lot for printing and the quality and speed is pretty good. It scans pictures and documents, which has been really handy to have. Also, it makes copies, which has been really convenient on multiple occasions. Performance My printer has never failed to print or copy for me. Copy Quality For the cost and size of the copier, the quality of the copy is good. It is not as good as larger, more expensive machines, but it does the job just fine for smaller projects. Ink/Paper Use As with any printer, I wish the ink lasted a little bit longer. Ease of Use Most of the operations are pretty easy, especially the copy function. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to scan photos in, but once you figure it out, it is easy to do. Durability I bought this printer going into college and have had it for five years. It still works perfectly and I have never had any issues with it at all. Design The design is nice and compact. It isn't very heavy either, which is nice since I have moved quite a bit with it.

I purchased the HP F4480 All-In-One InkJet Printer when my current printer just quit working for no reason. My previous printer was an HP, so I wanted to to stick HP, as I had been happy with the brand and it had lasted many years. I looked around and found the F4480 All-In-One InkJet printer to be reasonabley priced for what I needed. I have had no issues with this printer. I have had no problems with scanning or printing with this printer. I mostly use it to print coupons these days, and have had no issues with that. I found it confusing as to how to print pictures at first, and couldn't find anything in the manual explaining how to do it. The HP F4480 All-In-One InkJet Printer has a different way of printing the pictures than my previous HP printer. The one thing I don't like is when printing pictures the margins seem to be off. So the whole picture does not print. I need to check the settings on the account to see if i can change the settings to fix the problem.

There was a time when I had no need for a printer at home. I could print all I wanted at school, then on the job I also had access to unlimited printing. That stopped when I was no longer able to attend college (due to lack of finances...) and I started to feel convicted for using up the companies time and paper. This meant that I could either use a printer at a friends house, or pay to print at Kinko's or Staples. I began to do some research on inexpensive alternatives, and found this great all-in-one printer by HP. I've had wonderful experiences with HP in the past, both on and off the job, so, knowing that it is a good brand, I went for it. What sold me was not only the price, but it's ability to not only print high quality color and black and white documents, but also scan in color, fax, and copy. I haven't used to copy feature much, but I've actually gotten use out of the scanner and fax machine. If your considering this, I say, go for it.

I've always thought HP printers were the best, and getting this printer has only strengthened that opinion.  I love the all-in-one.  It's so convenient to be able to scan in pictures, copy or print all at the same time.  The printing quality is excellent, I've never had a problem with smugding or gliches in the printing.  I love the look of the printer.  It's sleek and goes well with my computer and other electronics.  The price is great for this printer; it is well worth it.  If I had one problem with this printer it is how quickly it goes through ink.  However, that could be a complaint with almost all printers out there these days.  I'll be honest, I haven't bought new hp ink in forever.  I always buy remanufactured and the printer doesn't have any problems with the ink.  It still prints great, and it's a cheaper way for me to enjoy my printer.  Once again, I'm glad I bought an HP and will continue to buy HP in the future, if I need to.

This printer will be right for you if you need to print and copy in both color and black-and-white and need to scan something occasionnally, but all not so often. The set up and use is very fast and easy. The printing quality is satisfying. But the ink goes very fast unless you use the big capacity ones. The softwares offered by HP are not very good. They are kind of slow and not very user-friendly. But the printer itself is ok, you can do most of the stuff without the software, or you can use alternate free software to do the task. The printing speed is so-so. The good thing is paper seldom got stucked, which save me a lot of time and frustration.  The scanning function is also so-so, which means, it meets need in most cases, but is far from "great" level. In conclusion, I would say this is a product for light users. If you print a lot, this may not be the best solution. (the printer itself is not expensive, but the cost of ink would accumulate and make the cost high)

I will give this Hp all in one a four start rating. I bought one of these on a black Friday sale for a really low price. It is well worth the price I paid for it. I bought is mainly just to scan pictures with but I have used it to print quite a bit and it prints well. The only bad thing is not really about the printer itself but the price of the ink. Two cartridges pf ink cost more then what I paid for this printer. I don't understand why ink is so high. I mainly use it for scanning. It is very easy to use and very easy to install. I would suggest this to anyone who wants a good scanner at a good price. The only feature I wish it had was some bluetooth or some kind of wireless connection to my computer. I have had a few Hp printers and this one as lasted longer then any of the others. If you catch it for a really low price and need a scanner I would go ahead and buy this one. If you fond ink for cheap let me know..lol

The newest famly member to my technology desk is a easy to use, good working printer. it does what it needs to do, and that is print, and scan. The scaning is desent aswell as the printing capabilities. it holds a large stack of paper. The printing speed is quik and the printing quality is above averge. The instaltion took less then fifteen minutes, and is easily maintained. When turned on the computer lets you know the ink levles, if the paper needs un-jamming, if the ink is low, if the ink is put in wrong, pretty mutch evrything you need to know about your printer. As a printer for making copies of documents this is a grade A ( my opinion ), but for making 200 copies of a flier, you may wnt to go down to a copy shop to get higher grade resualts, but if your wiling to go through the ink, and put more paper in evry now and then. your fine. being able to go from collor to black nd white is one bouton, as well as how many copies you need, being one simple botton. 4 out of 5.

I received the HP Photosmart C4480 Printer for Christmas 2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble from the beginning. I am very unhappy with this printer and with HP and will not be purchasing HP printers again. Pros: Prints photos well! I am happy with the photo printing and often print photos when I don't have time to send them to a store. The colors are nice and you really can't tell they came from a home printer! Cons: The Scan button on my printer does not work. This appears to be a widespread issue with HP printers, as I've seen many other complaints as well. I contacted HP customer support and after 20 (YES, 20!) hours over 4 days, the customer support agents succeeded in messing up my printer even worse than before. They had me uninstall the software, but I am now unable to reinstall anything but the drivers for my printer. I am completely unable to use any other software with my printer and the SCAN button still does not work. In addition  to the above fiasco, the printer has problems recognizing Authentic Ink Cartridges, making it a nightmare to change my ink. Customer Service once had me print out a Diagnostic page and give them the results. They informed me that my Black Ink Cartridge was empty, according to the Diagnostic results. However, I had just replaced the Black Ink the day earlier and after experimenting on my own (Customer Support insisted the Black Ink was empty and I needed a new cartridge), I realized that it was the Color Cartridge that was empty, and after replacing the Color, the printer worked like new. All in all, this printer has been a nightmare for me. If eI had the money, I would buy a new one, but for now, I'm putting up with it until I can save for a new one. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this printer like the plague!

My husband bought me the Hewlett Packard F4480 as a gift because I wanted a multi function printer. I had a basic printer and really wanted to upgrade to something that had more features. I wanted a printer that had a scanner because I had a lot of old family photos that I wanted to scan and upload to my computer. When my husband gave it to me it was up and running within minutes. It's very quick and easy to install and use. The scanner scans photos and the scan looks as good as the original photo. I've used it to print out many of the photos and they are very high quality. I like the borderless photo option. I copied an old photo of my grandparents and gave it as gifts to my brother and sister and they couldn't believe that I scanned the photo and printed it from my printer at home. This is also a great printer to use for printing business cards or any type of cards or letter or invitations. I works great!

I've been using HP printers for years because I feel they are a good value and offer what I need.  This model replaced a much more expensive model that actually did not offer any more features but cost much more.  It broke down way too soon. The F4480 has copy, scan and printer features that work well. info is on top to the left and easy to understand and follow.
