Hp deskjet 3845 works pretty decently

I received this Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3845 along with a Hewlett Packard desktop computer, It was part of a packet. The computer is not very good, but the printer is another story. Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3845 is a pretty decent printer, if you are looking for a basic printer. It is color and black and white printer. If you run out of color ink, you can print in just black. Now, I have had this printer for a few years back. I have another printer that I got around the same time with my notebook, and that printer, simply stopped working one day. The HP deskjet 3845 is still going strong. It does not give me any problems. Runs smoothly, never gives me paper jams. It does not do anything fancy, like fax, or copy as some of the newer fancier printers that are coming out do. But this is a really good printer, so if you are lookinh for a simple printer, that does its job. then look no further, this deskjet is reliable, and efficient.

A good value printer for everyday needs

I've had my printer for a few years.  It came as part of the package deal when I purchased the computer.

The quality of print is very good for both black & white, and color.  I would say the speed is average for a home printer.  It jams occassionally, but the paper is easy to remove.

I've used it to print photos.  I get very high quality.  I friend couldn't believe the photos were printed at home and thought they had been professionally done.  However, when printing photos the printer is very slow.  Another disadvantage is you need to give the photo about a minute to dry, if you touch it too soon the ink smears.

Maybe my immagination, put I seem to go through ink cartridges quite quickly.

Overall I would recommend this printer for "light" home use, such as kids printing homework, printing invitations, an occassional photo.  It would not be suitable for a small business or home office.

Great inexpensive printer

I find that this printer is great for price paid...I would recommend this printer to someone who does basic printing and not worried about the expensive printers...The color/black cartridges are very reasonable to buy...It also offers many different options for printing different things...
