I like having a combined printer/scanner but this thing goes through ink quickly. It takes HP 61 Ink and it just doesn't seem to last long regardless of how much I print. It even seems that if I don't use the printer for an extended amount of time, the ink dries up. I've used other HP printers and I've never had this problems. So, it's not the printer..its the ink.

I bought this recently from walmart with a decent price after discount. This is a all in one printer which can print and scan and copy. It's easy to instal and remove cartridge. The design of this printer is stylish and easy to close the printer so dust would not get into the printer. The printer is easy to instal and use. Loading the paper from the back and as of now i do not have any program with paper jamming. Scanning using the sanner is easy and scans fairly well. The printer support color and black printer and it prints in a fast speed. The down side is the printer only use two kind of ink black and color inks, which means the color print or photo print quality will not be as good as those other model with multiplel color inks. The printer is fairly light weight. The printer does not come with the usb cord as usual for almost all the printers nowaday. Overall i like this printer for this numorus fuction for it's cheap price.

HP's lack the quality they used to. I tend to stay away from their computer line after my last two laptops broke down on me within two years. No loss to me, there are other brands out there with comparable products. The one things I've been unable to live without however is the all in one printer series. These printers are amazing. I've had one since the first day of college and have been in love ever since. These are especially convenient for students as they are compact and don't take to much room in a small apartment or even dorm room. I also loved the built in scanning feature. Most people don't realize how awesome a scanner is until they absolutely need one. So many times it's saved my life or that of fellow student. And the best part, it doesn't take anymore room that a normal printer! THe printer quality is standard. Nothing too spectacular, you probably don't want to use it to print out pictures you've taken with your brand new digital camera, but it gets the job done.

I got this printer very recently and it's pretty nice for the price. It has good printing quality and since the paper runs straight from the top to bottom, it is not very prone to jamming. The main reason I chose this printer over other printers was the combined scanner. Although it's big enough to handle larger paper sizes, the quality of scanned images is not really that great. It saves images in .tiff format in very high resolution, but for some reason there are many little white specks all over that I have to fix with photoshop. It can also take quite a while to scan things, which is fine when I need to scan one or two things, but this is quite a pain when I need to scan a lot of photos or papers. I was also a little disappointed to find that the printer didn't come with its own usb cable. Since I live in a college dorm, I can't rely on wifi to print papers because there are so many people on the network, so I had to order my own. I would recommend this product for someone who wants a cheap printer and doesn't have heavy usage.

I just ordered the HP Deskjet 1050 all in one printer from Walmart. It is a total piece of crap. First of all, it's very hard to figure out how to use it. Secondly, the paper gets jammed constantly. When you select the print option you cant even choose to just use black ink, so it uses color ink when I dont need it to. And speaking of ink, I just got it a week ago and I am almost out of ink already and it was NOT a starter ink. My sons printer is an HP also and literally SUCKS the ink out of the machine. It's cheaper to buy a new printer every month than to keep these puppies full of ink, which is HORRIBLE for the environment. It's like a disposable printer. I had a Lexmark for years and very rarely ever had to refill or change the ink cartridges. I am VERY disappointed in the HP products lately. I hope they get their act together soon because they are about the lose another customer and their customer service people seemed to take it personally that I was unhappy with the item. BAD, BAD, BAD

My daughter went to the black Friday sales this year, and I thought she was nuts for doing so. That was untill Christmas arrived and I seen all the great deals she had gotten. I have shopped black Friday years ago, and swore I never would agian, but these deals sure make it tempting. My daughter bought me a HP DeskJet all in one printer as a Christmas gift this year. I was shocked when I opened my gift and seen what it was, it looked expensive. Thats when she told me she bought it on black Friday, and she got a good deal. I was eager to set it up, and I did without any problems. This printer is stylish and a nice compact design, it so much smaller than my last printer. I can print, scan and copy. It came with both black and color ink, and the boldness and brightness of the colors are great. It did not come with a usb cable, which I found to be odd, but not a huge deal. Overall, I am very happy with my new HP DeskJet all in one printer. One of the best gifts I got this year.
