Let me tell you how I approach TV series. If I love it, it bothers me to miss even a single episode. If I like it, I want to watch but if I have to miss an episode I promise myself I'll catch it in reruns. But there are those shows that are just filler until what I really want to watch comes on. Last season, I really loved House. I didn't want to miss a single episode. I found the characters well written and defined. House was the guy you loved to hate but you knew that by the end of the show he would redeem himself. Also, last season, I waited with anticipation to see what would happen with his drug use. I watched as colleagues and friends put their careers on the line for him. And I watched as he basically thumbed his nose at their efforts. I was very disappointed. Would the character have lost by not being an addict? Couldn't he continue to be an a** without the drugs? Wouldn't he continue to be an awesome?
I have not really been interested in watching him much this season. House has become the filler until the show I really want to watch comes on. The continued drug use bothers me and the new characters are not believable. What a shame. House had such potential.
