House the character, is complex and constantly dealing with his internal demons. That be said, he is highly intelligent, caring (although he would never admit it) and is a wicked music lover. He sees the connection between the body-mind experience through his kenetic process using his ball, cane, or by talking to his crew. He cannot function alone. The sparks between Cuddy, his friend Wilson and himself is enough to keep a watcher intrigued. He is a loner, that needs people. The show is funny in that there are inside jokes; he lives at 211 Bakers Street (Sherlock holmes Address). He had a duel out between whether "wheelies" people in wheelchairs are infact more disabled than people who use crutches, for people wlith disablities this is horribly funny. It is not politically correct, it deals with issues that scream "oh wrong, oh wrong! But they are the hight of humor and larsony. Sorry for my spelling! He is always on the outside, he is an addict on vicadin, because of severe leg injury, but really is he an addict or not? This doctors are still debating.
It is worth exploring the show, lots of sexual talk, lots of blood, and lots of medical jargon. You need to be up on that. It is NOT for kids under the age of 16 for sure, and is very aridite.
