I've lived in Texas for about 13 years so I'm used to the local grocery stores such as H-E-B. I've lived in Round Rock for about 7 years, and when the original H-E-B closer to I-35 closed and the new HEB Plus! opened up I was glad, because the old store was always crowded and dirty.

The new H-E-B Plus! is a bad store to go to. It's always crowded, even more than Wal-Mart, and the parking lot isn't big enough for this. The store is large so you can get almost everything, but it's gotten as dirty and as crowded as the old H-E-B. And this store has poor service just like all of the other H-E-B's, and I expect at least mediocre service. And the prices aren't that low compared to other local stores such as Randalls.

I've noticed that H-E-B stores in the Austin area don't seem to compete on price like the H-E-B store I went to in Houston. I suppose it's because there's no strong competitor in Austin....just Randalls and Krogers, which are so expensive that even Donald Trump won't shop there.
