This federally mandated conversion is causing a lot of grief...

The highly anticipated and federally mandated conversion from analog to digital is just around the corner. I have been seeing commercials now about this conversion for months. It never phased me though because both televisions in my home are hooked up to cable and/or digital cable so they are ready for the conversion. However, my best friend lives further out in the country than I do, has three TVs and has to get them all ready for this conversion. Debbie is not the least bit electronically inclined but I am. HD tv is not as good as Analog tv at my house ,

Hello: I would like to get a few opinions about other peoples experience with HD tv signal. We here at my house so far are not real IMPRESSED with the loss of signal,sound,and channels. At any given time it has a tantrum and refuses to work at all as well as the good old ANALOG signal has forever. Is this a problem with the programming where you live or is it just my house and my tv having problems.We can be watching a show and the picture will freeze, the sound stops and ( you know as well as I do ) you miss a very important clue to the mystery.
