NEW AND LOVING IT

5

I just stumbled upon HBO GO by accident and happy that I did. One of my favorite series is on HBO so I subscribed just to watch it. I wait for this show every weekend. My tv gave out the day my show was supposed to air so I was frantically looking for a free way to watch it online. That's when I discovered that if you have HBO, you automatically get the benefits of HBO GO for free. All you need to do is create an account by using your cable providers account number. It only takes a few minutes. From what I've seen so far, HBO GO offers all of the same movies and shows that you can watch on HBO except they are online and available whenever you want to watch them. You can even create your own favorites section. I added my series and it will automatically update and include the latest episode. I'm very excited to be able to watch my show whenever I want and be able to review past episodes as well. They also offer special features and extras. I'm so excited to really explore all that it has to offer. If you have HBO, you should definitely subscribe to HBO GO.

HBO Go: Access to everything HBO

5

HBO Go is HBO's on-demand streaming service. It gives you access to every movie, show, and special on HBO. Keep in mind that you need an HBO subscription to use HBO Go. They do not offer it a la carte and it's a free service for HBO customers. You can access HBO Go on many devices and also via browser. I primarily use a Google Chomecast connect to my TV to access HBO Go. Picture quality is pretty good, but not spectacular. Another downer is that titles do not output in 5.1 surround sound. What makes HBO Go valuable is the quality of HBO's original shows such as Game of Thrones and True Detective. Being able to watch new and old episodes of their shows whenever you want is awesome and convenient. I do wish that they would make HBO Go a standalone service because to have an HBO subscription, you need to have cable service. Regardless, HBO Go really smokes other channel's streaming service. They show how it should be done by offering all their titles and all episodes.

HBO GO

My husband and I just recently subscribe to HBO. We were tired of hearing all of our friends talk about the shows they watch on HBO, and we had no idea what they were talking about. We already have a Roku, and we knew there was an HBO GO application on it. You can also watch HBO on your XBOX, computer, or tablet. I think some phones are even capable of playing HBO GO. Almost everything you get on your HBO subscription is available on HBO GO. It's convenient because I'm not always home to watch the show I want when it's airing. With HBO GO, I can watch it whenever I have free time. I have noticed that sometimes it takes a couple of days after a show airs before it is available, but I don't have a problem with that. One thing a lot of people don't understand about HBO GO is that you must already have the HBO subscription through you cable or satellite provider. HBO GO is a free service.

Access to HBO's amazing library wherever you have internet

I love HBO Go. If you have an HBO cable subscription and your provider participates in their program, you get access a ton of shows and movies from HBO's library including all seasons of great shows like The Sopranos, The Wire and Curb You Enthusiasm; miniseries & specials like Angels in America and Band of Brothers; and hundreds of new and old movies. I have the HBO Go app on my phone, tablet, and it comes on devices like the Apple TV, Roku, and some gaming systems so you can watch all of these programs on your big screen TV which is how I prefer to watch stuff. I cannot really think of any drawbacks except for the fact that some providers don't participate in the program on certain devices (for example, Comcast users won't be able to sign in to use the HBO Go app on a Roku player for some reason, but I can sign in through Comcast on the app on my Apple TV). Overall, I would definitely recommend that anyone with an HBO subscription take advantage of HBO Go if you haven't yet.

HBO Go is big hit with me

5

I have been a HBO subscriber for more than ten years. It is one of my favorite television channels. In my opinion HBO provides content like no other station today. From hit movies, iconic dramas and comedies, to documentaries, nobody does it better than HBO. This is one of the few channels that I watch religiously. The introduction of the HBO Go app has been a true revelation to me. Having the option to stream HBO content on the go, no matter where I am is a great option for me. It is also great for catching up on series. A good example of this is Boardwalk Empire. This is one of my current favorite HBO shows. However, I am not always able to watch the episode's live. But with HBO Go, this is no problem. I can now watch these whenever and wherever I want. I am able to plow through the episode's I missed on my own time, whether it be streamed on my laptop or my tablet. The streams are always of the highest quality and I have not encountered any buffering problems or lag. I love being able to access HBO's massive library of content at no cost other than my monthly subscription free. This is an incredible feature and what makes the HBO Go app one that I recommend to friend's and family with HBO. If you have HBO you should not be without this incredible app. This is a must own for me. I score HBO Go a perfect ten out of ten.

I never have to miss an HBO show again!

I love this application! I have it on my Xbox 360 and on my iPad. I, sometimes, miss my shows and am grateful that I can watch them them where ever I want, whenever I want. I actually enjoy the application more than I do the channel. I can pick and choose what I want to watch and I do not have to wait for it to come on. The shows I watch are available almost immediately after airing. The selection of movies is great and constantly changing to stay fresh. They have old movies, as well as recent ones. They get new movies on the application as soon as they are available on the regular channel. HBO definitely did well when they created this application. They put serious thought in how the viewer would be using the application and what would be the best way to put it together. There is also a watchlist where I can store all of my favorite shows for later viewing. All of the content available on the channel is available on the application, including their adult content (if that is what you fancy). The interface is user friendly on both my Xbox and my iPad. If you have HBO, this is a great addition to your electronic devices if you want to watch HBO outside of the home or just on your own time!

All of HBO all of the time

HBO GO is the online/mobile companion to your cable or satellite HBO subscription. If you have a subscription to HBO, pretty much all of the HBO Library is available to you through your iDevice or Android phone or tablet or through your PC or Mac. HBO GO is also available through game consoles such as the Xbox or set-top boxes such as Roku and Apple TV. **HBO GO vs HBO On Demand** Many of us cable and satellite customers have access to HBO On Demand. Admittedly it's a great service, but HBO GO takes it a step further. Where the On Demand service may provide the last few episodes of the current crop of HBO Series, Specials or Movies, HBO GO pretty much offers you everything HBO has produced from the very first episode. For viewers like my wife and me who often "discover" a series sometimes seasons after the launch this service is ideal. **Not all Carriers are the Same** Our primary methods for watching "non-cable provided content" on our big screen TVs is either through the use of a Roku 2 Video Streaming Box or through the VIA Apps feature of our Vizio LED TV. Our cable carrier, Comcast, supports neither of these devices as a means of accessing HBO GO. Many other carriers do, but Comcast doesn't. To watch HBO GO on the big screen we have to log into the service with our HDMI out enabled laptop and mirror the screen to our HDTV. While it's not a deal killer it is far less convenient than picking up our Roku 2 remote and navigating Netflix, Amazon Instant or any one of several other channels we watch through our Roku Box. While for some of us using HBO GO on a screen larger than a computer monitor can be a bit of a hassle at this time I'm convinced that problems such as these will be ironed out in the near future. HBO GO is a winner!

HBO GO - Great for On Demand Series & Movies!

4

You have to pay for HBO through a TV provider, but the HBO GO option is amazing. We use it on our Xbox, which is the best way we use it. We watch a few series but mostly movies - since we have DirecTV and don't want to pay for each movie. HBO on the tablet/phone is just as good, but the picture is definitely better on a bigger TV. Our only issue with HBO GO is that you can't stream from your iPad/iPhone to our AppleTV. The functionality in the HBO GO app hasn't been enabled. Other than that..we love it!
