First of all, can you even believe I actually own an orange shower radio from H2O Plus, a beauty and skincare website? Wow, even *I* think that is pretty nutty. But you know how it is, you surf, you shop, you see something that, at the time, seems like a really cool thing to have. Then you get it...
Quick View
The H2O Plus Shower Radio is cute and cheap. It works but it sounds a bit tinny and the volume barely goes up loud enough to hear over the sound of the shower. This is not just my opinion but that of my kids who have handily replaced my little orange shower radio with a much better model.

There isn't a heck of a lot to this little radio. There is a combo on/off and volume knob, one that you turn to tune to stations and a little slider to go from AM to FM (WHO listens to AM in the shower? Only my husband who listens to talk radio about sports and news constantly.). The speaker is in the front and the back holds the battery securely screwed in. Obviously the thing is waterproof.
This radio has suction cups that don't work and a nylon cord that does. Use that to hang the radio over the shower head. If you use the suction cups, you will see the radio crash. Often.
It has a hand grip which is actually handy if you take it boating or around other kinds of water besides the shower. I have taken this to the lake and hung it around my neck as I lied on my raft because I didn't want to get my good stuff wet. It sufficed.
The sound is OK. I mean, it is just a $19.00 radio. The problem is, it doesn't sound good turned up high enough to hear above the shower jets pummeling your head. I have some hearing loss but it isn't that type. My hearing isn't much lower. I lost most of my high pitches so volume generally doesn't need to be turned up for me to hear things better. But my sons also agree that, when the radio is turned up to the max, it gets distorted and they still can't hear it all that well.
Now, if I am taking a hot bubble bath and am too lazy to either bring in my CD player or my MP3 Player, then I can hear the radio just fine.
It's made of plastic, very orange, and fairly durable. Other colors that H2O Plus sells are lime, blue, and white. They were out of blue so I went nuts and got orange.
It's cute but has been replaced by a better model which I will review soon. Still, if you are looking for an inexpensive little shower radio that you can hang from the shower head and play tunes while you bathe or shower, this one is probably as good as others in its price range.
My Viewpoint
The H2O Plus Shower Radio in orange is cute and works decently. It isn't, by any means, a GOOD radio but it suffices if you want to just listen to random music while showering or bathing.
It makes a cute novelty gift, perhaps in a basket with some H2O Plus bath and body products which are much higher quality than this radio. If you're a woman, buy the blue or green one for a guy with some men's shower products. That's pretty creative and he'll have to use it, at least while you're around. ;)
Cute, small, and simple. 3 stars and I recommend it only for those who don't demand great sound quality. Or even all that good...
