Guinness Stout Draught Beer Review Summary
Branch out and dry a delightful dark beer say draft fans. Guinness is a mild but flavorful beer with hints of coffee, chocolate and molassas. "I could drink this all night," says a self proclaimed beer snob. While it's not a complex, robust dark, Guinness is a taste of the old country with a nice head and a nice flavor. It's a wonderful introduction to the world of draught beverages.

When this draft (or draught) was put in front of me at a restaurant I could smell the slight sweetness of it. There wasn’t an alcohol odor which gives me the chills – in a bad way! The aroma was mild- another plus for me. — — In front of me was a ¼ inch tan…

Guiness Shout is not my favorite beer, but in case I dont have my favorite I could drink it. I got use to drink it. I dont like the after taste and I think it taste a little like coffee, which I also dont like it. I'm impressive bottle technology, but I think it makes too much foam, I…

Ready to Try Something New, Open- Minded, Beer Snob, brand conscious, a beer drinker
Pours solid black with brown highlights, and the trademark creamy white head with cascading nitro action. Aroma is of dark roasted malts, with slight chocolate and toffee notes; unfortunately, the aroma is pretty faint and tame. The taste is of roasted malts, bitter chocolate and some coffee, with tiny hints of molasses; the finish has a burnt coffee and earthy hop bitterness. The overall effect is relatively mild compared to the giant, thick stouts that get the highest accolades here, but I think that works more in its favor. The mouthfeel is silky and creamy, with a medium-to-light body and…

I've been a fan of dark beers for many years and sampled quite a few. I find myself coming back to Guinness again and again. — I like the deep color and slightly molasses taste to the brew. I also find it to be a smooth beer... and it doesn't hurt that it's from the old country! I enjoy the fact that it has a creamy, substantive head to it. — On the practical side, many restaurants and bars stock Guinness, so I know that I will be getting a quality dark beer as opposed to one of those wimpy wannabe darks. — Also, great for getting a conversation started. I find that when I…

Is there such a thing as a bad pint of Guinness? I am a beer snob I suppose, but to call Guinness just a beer is such a put down. I am such a geek I am one of the first members of the 1759 Society and have my certificate hanging on my wall as if it was a diploma. I loves me some Guinness. Not only is it great to drink its amazing to cook with, especially when making stew! Don't let the fact it is a stout scare you away it not bitter only smooth and yummy. OK now I want one, anyone up to joining me at the…

Very good. You can find it everywhere, even abroad. I have read that studies claim that Guinness can be beneficial to the heart. Researchers found that antioxidant compounds in Guinness, similar to those found in certain fruits and vegetables, are responsible for health benefits because they slow down the deposit of harmful cholesterol on the artery walls. Another excuse to drink it!! —…

I love this brand of beer by itself as a social drink, or when having a meal of beef, or lamb. The taste of Guinness nicely complements both types of meats. — Guinness, like most British Beers, has a higher alcohol content than most beers from Oklahoma and therefore gives a quicker feeling of euphoria, without having to drink a lot of liquid. — Guinness has a nice scent and head, and the taste is superior to most of the beers that I drink. I am a fan of the mixed drink, Black & Tan, which is half Guinness and half Harp, and this…

Open- Minded, a fan, Ready to Try Something New
Normally I am a light beer drinker, but there is something about a pint of properly poured Guiness. It's smooth and comforting, the only downfall is that its heavy and I can only have 1 or 2 pints at a time. But I love the taste of it with a richer meal, I don't eat meat but my boyfriend does and he likes guiness with a good steak or a big hamburger. I even like it as an after dinner drink. The best is getting a 1/2 and 1/2, if your lucky enough to find a place the has Labacs Frenboise (sorry that's misspelled, it's French and raspberry flavored) on tap, get a 1/2 and 1/2 of that with…

The Beer of beers. Did you know Guinness is actually good for you? It's loaded with essential minerals. It also has less calories than many other beers, including those flimsy pale lite beers that taste like flavored water. Guinness is beautiful to look at, easy to find, and always a great value. I even make a Guinness Stout Stew that my kids love! The alcohol cooks off, naturally! —…

I spent a month travelling all over Ireland and this is all I drank. Everyone told me that Guinness wouldn't be the same back in the states- and it's not, but it's still good. There's just nothing like a Guinness. It's like a meal in a glass. It's always my first choice when I buy a…
