Pours solid black with brown highlights, and the trademark creamy white head with cascading nitro action. Aroma is of dark roasted malts, with slight chocolate and toffee notes; unfortunately, the aroma is pretty faint and tame. The taste is of roasted malts, bitter chocolate and some coffee, with tiny hints of molasses; the finish has a burnt coffee and earthy hop bitterness. The overall effect is relatively mild compared to the giant, thick stouts that get the highest accolades here, but I think that works more in its favor. The mouthfeel is silky and creamy, with a medium-to-light body and mild carbonation; the finish is slightly dry. While this isn't a huge, complex sipping stout, it's not meant to be: It's what you get pints of at the local bar when you want to just have a good time with your friends. I could drink this all night.

Perfect description. I couldn't have said it better.
