This is the only movie which contains a sound effect with which I can scare the bejesus out of my husband. (And you better believe I try as often as I can.) The best adjective I can think of for describing The Grudge is creepy. From the sound effects to the way the "demon" moves to the concept itself (A possessed house which marks anyone who enters for death. And die they do, even if they're miles away.) this is one creepy movie. My suggestion for watching it: pop the corn, secure your drink of choice, turn out the lights, and turn up the sound. Then prepare for the goosebumps to start popping out. Because of it's creep factor and it's differences from traditional American-made horror films I give The Grudge a five star rating and will watch it again and again and again.
