French's brown mustard
My son just discovered French's spicy brown mustard which made me laugh, since I've always had some on hand. I'll eat the regular hot dog mustard, but I like the little extra zip with the spicy brown. The kid didn't touch it, since it said "spicy." He's not big on hot foods.
I grilled brats, and we were out of yellow mustard. So, the kid decided to try French's spicy brown, and it was love at first bite.
Don't let the name fool you. French's spicy brown is just a nice balanced mustard with a bit of extra flavor but not enough to put anyone off. If it had much kick, the kid would not have eaten...

I usually cook everything from scratch when I make dinner, but I saw the Ortega Taco Kit at the commissary for under $2.00, so I had to take a chance and try something new. Since all I needed to buy was ground beef and taco toppings, I thought it would be worth buying even if it sucked.

OK, I have tried and tried and cannot make a decent tasting biscuit to save my life~
Tried all the canned biscuits ~ yuck! Tried frozen ones, they were awful too until I found Pillsbury Grands frozen biscuits~ all of the varieties are great!
They cook in the oven in about 20 minutes and are light and fluffy, about 2 1/2" high and pull apart easily to put some butter or whatever you like in the middle. They are actually beautiful to look at~ And they just melt in your mouth~ Never dry or gummy like some biscuits can be~ And the price is incredibly affordable~

Smart Balance Peanut Butter is a great healthy option! Loaded with Omegas and healthy fat. Tastes great. The price is a little high, but you can usually find it on sale.
Trader Joe's - Low Fat Honey Whole wheat Pretzel Sticks
We love these pretzels! They are very inexpensive, and a great value. Slightly wheaty, slightly sweet, and slightly salty, they satisfy the need for a savory/sweet snack. They go well with a sandwich, dipped into peanut butter or hummus, or are fine just plain!
Kraft Foods Cool Whip Lite Whipped Topping
Cool Whip Light is delicious and tastes just like Cool Whip without the extra calories.
I use it to top off jello or pudding, in pie recipes,etc. It is so good and very well priced.
Trader Joe's Sunflower Seed Butter
Due to my son's peanut allergy, we use Trader Joe's sunflower seed butter in place of peanut butter. We love this version! It is literally half the price of other brands of sunflower seed butter, but is an excellent quality. It has no refined sugars or hydrogenated oils, and is loaded with protein and nutrition. It is slightly sweet, nutty, and spreads easily. High recommended!
Nature Valley - Granola nut clusters
I bought Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters because I had a $1.50 off coupon and I love nuts and granola~ I figured if they were not all that good then I had not spent but 50 cents on them~~ What a surprise I got! These little nut clusters are walnut sized and utterly delicious~ I could not stop eating them! And they are good for you (if you don't eat the whole bag at one sitting!!)~~
I am so glad to have finally found a treat like this that is healty and not expensive!
Thomas' English Muffins
I love Thomas' Light Multigrain English Muffins! They taste great, have 8 grams of fiber
and 5 grams of protein! They are delicious for breakfast, lunch, a snack or anytime!
Kellogg's - All-Bran Fiber Drink Mix
I love this fiber drink and I can't find it any more in my local store. Very disappointing. It tastes good and has 10 grams of fiber per serving!
Yoplait Delights Parfait Lowfat Yogurt
I saw these right next to my usual yo-plait and figured why not. They are kind of spendy but if you pair it with a good coupon and a sale they are pretty thrifty then. I took one to work with me today and ate as my mid-morning snack. It was so good. It was like eating the most yummiest pudding desert. I have only tried the Chocolate Raspberry. I have the caramel sitting at home. These are great pick me ups for the lag time between an early breakfast and lunch or for snack-thirty in the afternoon. I tried both the chocolate raspberry and creme caramel Yoplait Delights - and I was NOT delighted with either of them.
I try to review only the things I like, but this was such a marketing device - so much more than an actual treat - that I had to speak up!
Buy Yoplait Fat Free flavors like Boston Cream Pie, Cinnamon Roll, White Chocolate Strawberry, etc. if you want real enjoyment. Yoplait Whips in Chocolate Raspberry Mousse??? YUM, the Yoplait delight? I could barely tell it was chocolate and did not even taste the raspberry.
For the price it comes to 74 cents per 4 oz cup at suggested retail...

Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
I love spicy foods but the recipe that is requested most often is from Franks hot sauce. The recipe can not be made with other hot sacues just doesn't taste as good. Its basically a buffalo chicken dip with 1 cup of the hot sauce and other ingred; mixed, heated, and serve. Its so funny that every time I make it, I'm asked for the recipe and requested to make again.
The other good thing, is that BJ's carries the brand and I can buy it in large bottle sizes. I generally don't like to buy such large proudcts, but with Franks, I tend to go through it often enough to make it worth while.
Lean Cuisine Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta
I' always try to get lunch to work and i had been trying differents kinds of frozen dinner or lunch,. I try lean cusine shrimp, i do not recomend all lean cuisine dinner has a taste that i can not explain, is not good at all. I had put my lean cusine lunch box on the garbage.
