When Greenies first came on the market, I thought the idea was great and that my dog would love them. Greenies are dental "cures" for dogs and cats with bad breath. They are advertised as to assist with the dental maintenance of pets. But I have to defer and agree to a certain point. My dog is a care free dog that enjoys most, if not all things chew bones that are deemed as being dental health focused. Yet, with the greenies, he liked them for maybe the first or second one that I gave him, but overtime the Greenies will get hard and he did not like them. Even in the packaging, closed and sealed tight, the greenies, once exposed to air will begin to hard. My dog did not eat them when they are hard. Greenies are a bit on the, in my opinion, on the high end price level of items on the market today. A bag of Greenies can cost, depending on the size of the bag, about $14.99 and there aren't really many in the bag. My opinion, one is better off buyin a raw-hide bone for the dog's teeth to assist with dental maintenance. I have found that a good chew bone, which is cheaper, can keep a dog breath smelling mediocre. Or, buy an off brand "Greenies"-like item that does the same thing for the pet but for less money.
