I've used Greenies to freshen breath on two dogs. Both of them liked the flavor, and they did work quite well to freshen breath. It was a huge production and a lot of undue stress on the dogs to have their teeth brushed, so these were a good option.

You pretty much do have to give them every day to...

Greenies can be very dangerous, they are a choking hazard for dogs. They also don't digest the same way that natural chew treats do. We used to give these to our dogs but stopped when we found that EVERY time our dogs felt ill afterwards.

If you do give these treats supervise your pets 100% - your dog...

I have 3 dogs who hate to have their teeth brushed. When out one day to purchase products for my dogs I came across Greenies Dental Bones and thought they looked like a great idea.

When I got home and gave them to each of my dogs, they all took them and ran to their corners to chew and chew - they were happy.

The next day my husband continually found piles of dog vomit which contained green "plastic" looking bits and chunks. When I returned home from work he told me that the dogs must have chewed apart one of the kids toys because of what he had found. He said that more than one dog had to be...

I know that everyone loves Greenies, well everyone except my dog. I bought some for her to help keep her teeth clean. My dog is a ratt terrier mix that we rescued from the pound. She wanted nothing to do with them. She sniffed it and walked away. I tried every thing to get her to chew on it. Finally, I gave it to my sister's beagle. She loved them. At leas they did not go to waste!

Those Greenie Dental Bones for Dogs are the best. I had received a free sample in the mail and thought now my dog isn't going to like this thing. So made her sit like we always do when she gets a treat and you wouldn't beleive it she took to that bone like there was no tomorrow. She likes them better then she does a regular bog biscuit. So you all know what I had to do after that. Yeap go out and buy them. The price isn't that bad either for them which surprised me. Her breath after eating them is very pleasant to smell which is better then any other treat she's been getting. Can't wait to start...

Greenies are one of my dog's favourite treats! She enjoys the occasional chewy, crunchy treat, but she is not a power-chewer. It can be really tricky to find a treat that is edible but will not make a mess when a Rottweiler chows down on it! She loves Greenies, though! They clearly satisfy her urge to chew as she crunches them up, while still being edible and tasty to consume! We are well informed about the pottential health threats of 'edible' chews that are not properly chewed up before eating, so we always supervise her with these treats. I am pleased to say that when we buy the correct size... review »

I first bought these for my senior Pommies some years ago - they went ga ga over them! I loved that they came in tiny sizes, but one of my dogs had bad teeth, so she got the chips and loved them. Her breath improved (but no chew will ever replace brushing).

Some years later when an Akita joined the family, it was truly entertaining watching the 8 lb Pommie trying to steal the giant sized Greenie. I had to watch the puppy for a while, lest he gulp it down. This never happened. I now give him a Greenie per week - and ALWAYS while I am monitoring.

My little ones have passed on, but never had a...

Seriously, Greenies are to my dog what catnip is to my cat! She goes bonkers for a Greenie, once I give her one, she tosses it in the air, rolls on it, shakes it, and finally settles down comfortably to chew away. Greenies leave her breath smelling less doggy, and fresher, too. While they are expensive, they make a good treat.

After the disturbing and scary emails that circulated about the safety concerns of Greenies, many people have shied away from these delectable goodies, but since then Greenies have been reformulated, and are completely safe and digestable.

The Greenies site offers samples,...

I love greenies. My dogs and their friends love greenies. The value is excellent for the cost. They are healthy and clean teeth while the dogs think they're getting a treat. Mine fight over them, so I have to give one each.
The only drawback - you MUST WATCH YOUR DOGS when they eat them. My dogs and many others tend to scarf the greenies down really really fast. If they don't chew the pieces up completely, they can possibly choke on the bites if they are too large.
Overall these are great treats and my dogs will continue to get them in their stockings each year!

My dog loves Greenies!! Although I find there smell a little offensive, my dog thinks it is the best thing ever. He tosses is in the air, chases it down and finally sits down for a good long chew. I make sure to buy the correct size for my dog and have never had a choking problem, however, he does tend to choke on rawhide and pig ears occasionally. His teeth are clean and no doggie breath. Please be sure to always have fresh water available, as my dog tends to be very thirsty when he finishes his Greenie. Greenies also make cat treats as well and my cats love these also.

My dog absolutely loves Greenies dental bones for dogs.  It is soo great to have a treat for him that is good for him teeth.  Greenies are a bit expensive, but they are worth the price.  The treats leave him with fresher smelling breath than most treats and help to reduce plaque on his teeth.  The best thing of all ofcourse is how much he loves them.  Always supervise your dog with any snack or food; but I have not had any trouble with this product.  Greenies is a reputable company with great tasting products for your pets.

I had never heard of Greenies until my groomer gave my baby one after she behaved well during her treatment.  My baby absolutley loved it.  SHe would not put it down.  She would nibble on it but didn't want to eat it all at once.  I bought some not long after and it seemed like once she kne there were more in the cabinet than it was good to go.  And go she did.  I would give her a greenie in the morning and it would be gone in no time with her going to the cabinet to see if she could beg another but she has to wait.

I received a greenie sample in the mail and tried it out on my dog. He loves them. I like the fact that they are healthy and good for my dog. They also seem to clean my dog's teeth very well. He really enjoys the taste and looks forward to his greenie! I would recommend them but also recommend purchasing the size best compatible with your dog. Watch your dog when he's chewing them to avoid any choking hazards, as I have heard about other owner's dogs choking on greenies. Overall a very good product that my dog loves and it's good for him too.

I got a free sample Greenie in the mail and tossed it to my dog thinking he would do what he always does with treats, smells them and then walks away.  With the Greenie, he immediately picked it up and started chewing on it, and when he was done he ran to me and started jumping up on my leg for me to give him more!  I ended up buying a bag, and everytime i went to give my dog one, same thing, he got so overly excited and ate the thing right away.  The greatest thing is that they help make his breath not so doggy-smelling.

These little buggers may smell a little funny coming out of the bag, but the do freshen pet breath and work good between brushings.  Our two beagles are also crazy about them.  They know that they get a greenie for spending over an hour outside so when I need to leave I reach for the box and the girls can't go outside fast enough!  Make sure you get the right size for your dog though, enthusiatic eaters may choke on a too small greenie.
