Most HelpfulI've used Greenies to freshen breath on two dogs. Both of them liked the flavor, and they did work quite well to freshen breath. It was a huge production and a lot of undue stress on the dogs to have their teeth brushed, so these were a good option.
You pretty much do have to give them every day to...

Most HelpfulI have 3 dogs who hate to have their teeth brushed. When out one day to purchase products for my dogs I came across Greenies Dental Bones and thought they looked like a great idea.
When I got home and gave them to each of my dogs, they all took them and ran to their corners to chew and chew - they were happy.
The next day my husband continually found piles of dog vomit which contained green "plastic" looking bits and chunks. When I returned home from work he told me that the dogs must have chewed apart one of the kids toys because of what he had found. He said that more than one dog had to be...
review »Those Greenie Dental Bones for Dogs are the best. I had received a free sample in the mail and thought now my dog isn't going to like this thing. So made her sit like we always do when she gets a treat and you wouldn't beleive it she took to that bone like there was no tomorrow. She likes them better then she does a regular bog biscuit. So you all know what I had to do after that. Yeap go out and buy them. The price isn't that bad either for them which surprised me. Her breath after eating them is very pleasant to smell which is better then any other treat she's been getting. Can't wait to start...
review »I first bought these for my senior Pommies some years ago - they went ga ga over them! I loved that they came in tiny sizes, but one of my dogs had bad teeth, so she got the chips and loved them. Her breath improved (but no chew will ever replace brushing).
Some years later when an Akita joined the family, it was truly entertaining watching the 8 lb Pommie trying to steal the giant sized Greenie. I had to watch the puppy for a while, lest he gulp it down. This never happened. I now give him a Greenie per week - and ALWAYS while I am monitoring.
My little ones have passed on, but never had a...
review »Seriously, Greenies are to my dog what catnip is to my cat! She goes bonkers for a Greenie, once I give her one, she tosses it in the air, rolls on it, shakes it, and finally settles down comfortably to chew away. Greenies leave her breath smelling less doggy, and fresher, too. While they are expensive, they make a good treat.
After the disturbing and scary emails that circulated about the safety concerns of Greenies, many people have shied away from these delectable goodies, but since then Greenies have been reformulated, and are completely safe and digestable.
The Greenies site offers samples,...
review »My dog absolutely loves Greenies dental bones for dogs. It is soo great to have a treat for him that is good for him teeth. Greenies are a bit expensive, but they are worth the price. The treats leave him with fresher smelling breath than most treats and help to reduce plaque on his teeth. The best thing of all ofcourse is how much he loves them. Always supervise your dog with any snack or food; but I have not had any trouble with this product. Greenies is a reputable company with great tasting products for your pets.
I had never heard of Greenies until my groomer gave my baby one after she behaved well during her treatment. My baby absolutley loved it. SHe would not put it down. She would nibble on it but didn't want to eat it all at once. I bought some not long after and it seemed like once she kne there were more in the cabinet than it was good to go. And go she did. I would give her a greenie in the morning and it would be gone in no time with her going to the cabinet to see if she could beg another but she has to wait.
