THE WORST CARD EVER...NETSPEND IS WAY BETTER

Green dot is the worst prepaid credit card. I have had it for over 2 years and the reloads frequently screw up. It seems like I have a problem with the money on my card every third time I use it, and then it is a MAJOR hassle because its hard to reach a real person for customer service and when you do the answer is always the same, "they will refund the money in 7 to 10 business days." even when it is their fault. Netspend is a thousand times better. Customer service is great, the card never scews up my money, they can even transfer money online from your card to another person's card.

Green dot even allowed me to accidentally load 50 bucks onto an expired card, even though their terms of agreement specifically states that an expired card will not accept a reload. When I called them and finally got a real person (who could barely speak english) they told me they would mail the refund to me in 7-10 days. I HATE GREEN DOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know, my post was almost six months ago, and they told me they were going to correct that glitch about being able to reload on an expired card. I haven't used my card since that time, except once, but it took the deposit even with inactivity. I finally found a number to a guy who worked in corporate for GreenDot and he apologized all over the place and sent me another card and said they were working on the problems, but I still never have used it again. Change to Netspend.

this has got to be the worst card ever, WHY THE **** WOULD THEY NEED YOUR SS#? Visa prepaid is much better, even if its onetime use, especially when you wanna buy online without using a bank credit card, i asked for a refund and they gave me a ****** check

I TOTALLY AGREE, WORST THING EVER, I GOT IT AS AN EASY WAY TODEPOSIT CASH INTO MY BACK ACCOUT WHICH DOES NOT HAVE BRANCHES NEAR ME. i TRIED TO DEPOSIT 1100 TODAY, AFTER NOT USING IT FOR 2 MONTHES, IT ACCEPTS THE DEPOSIT, BUT COME TO FIND OUT THE CARD WAS CLOSED DO TO INACTIVITY 10 DAYS AGO. NOW THEY SAY 7-10 DAYS TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I INTEND TO SEE FOR FALSE COLLECTION. DO NOT GET THIS CARD

You have to pay to get the card and 2 weeks later they charge you anotther 4.95 plus 4.95 everytime you reload.I wont be using another of their cards ever
