No credit? Bad credit? Not to worry with Green Dot MasterCard. You can still make those online purchases, in-store purchases and more.  I've had my Green Dot MasterCard for  about two years now & I wouldn't know what to do without it. You can put as much money as you need or want to on it & feel secure in knowing that where ever you use it, you can do so safely.  It's accepted every where that MasterCard is accepted.

For only $4.95 a month for maintenance, it's a great card to have. Add money anytime you need to, check your balance any time. Get weekly emails with your balance updates so you always know exactly how much you can spend and not go over. Monthly statements tell you exactly when, where & how much you've charged.  At the first sign that your card may be compromised, Green Dot will issue you another card & cancel the first one (for a $10 charge, of course). Green Dot cares about your financial safety & will dispute any purchase for you should the need for it arise.

This card was a real pain to activate. I went online to activate and was eventually referred to call in because the greendot website was having difficulties. When that matter was finally resolved I went on to purchase a cell phone from Verizon. I registered the card and it was accepted. However, when I went on to pay my monthly bill, the amount was debited from the card but showed declined in the transaction history. "This type of transaction is not allowed." Paying utilities are not allowed what the hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just purchased a greendot prepaid mastercard with the beleif that I would be able to use it instantly once activated online and then later on I would receive my reloadable card. Well I activated it online and they didnt give me any of my account information, not the card number, not the expiration number not the security code. All three of those are vital in order to purchase stuff off line. I contacted the company and it took over 2 hours just to get my account number and my expiration date, I was then informed that I would have to wait 15 days in order to receive my card with the security code because it had been erased from their system. I am very upset due to the FALSE ADVERTISING of use instantly. Because I actually bought it so I could use it instantly. Now 400 dollars of my money is in limbo until I get my card IF I get my card at all from them. All the while it says I will have fees on my card.....a card I dont even have. Green Dot is a scam, dont trust them!
