Green Dot - Prepaid Mastercard Review

I wouldnt recommend Greendot to my worse enemy. I'd advise any and everyone to NEVER use it and if you do, get your money out now while you can. I started using Greendot when it first came out. Didnt use it often, just to fastly receive money from relatives in other locations. Thought it was easier and cheaper than the money transfer services. Well. I guess Greendot got greedy and desperate because 2 of my accounts and accounts from a couple of my friends, whom Id recommend to GD, got frozen. They gave nonsense reasons for taking our money. Claiming mothers maiden names didnt match, social security# didnt match. And they wont tell you theres a problem with the account UNTIL youve given them your money. After all that, they refuse to refund money. After hours on the phone with foreign speaking people who only say only line, "Im sorry about the trouble" I got a supervisor to say He'd refund my money but its been 2 months and i havent received it. The inconvience is horrible. The customer service is Horrible and it makes you so angry for a company to literally rob you and get away with taking your VERY HARD TO COME BY MONEY. I havent tried any other prepaid companies so cant say I recommend any other. All I can say is if you cherish your money, dont send it to greendot. eventually theyll get it and at the worse time possible. They dont even deserve 1 star
