Worst Imitation Ever
Having grown up near Philadelphia and experiencing many varieties of genuine cheesesteaks, I have often been disappointed in the terrible imitations served in other parts of the country and called "Philly cheesesteaks" (if it ever calls itself a "Philly" cheesesteak, you know its not real). But these Great Value ones are about the worst imitation that I have ever tasted. Not only does it taste nothing like a cheesesteak, but it also tastes terrible altogether. It's not the right type of beef, and it can be extremely tough and chewy. Cheesesteaks use a particular kind of kaiser roll, and the rolls used in this kit taste nothing like them. A cheesesteak also should have a tomato-based sauce similar to marinara sauce, but this kit does not have any type of sauce. All around, these are the worst imitations of a cheesesteak I have ever tried, and I've had some pretty bad ones before.
