This streak-free glass cleaner with ammonia works quite well, especially considering that it is an off-brand product. It does clean fingerprints, dirt, and smears off of glass quite well. In our experience, it cleans about as well as Windex or other name-brand products that we have tried. Since it is a cheaper price, it turns out to be a much better deal than some of the on-brand products that do not work any better but cost more money. Based on our good experience with this product, we will continue to use it. Performance We have been very pleased with the performance of this product. It cleans glass about as well as the name-brand equivalents. Scent The ammonia in this product can give it a little bit of a strong smell. It can get irritating if it is used extensively, especially in a confined area. But for general use, such as cleaning bathroom mirrors, the smell is light enough that it does not cause irritation.

This product will clean a window but it is prone to leaving streaks. It takes much longer to clean a surface with this product than with some other products. To make sure the surface is streak free there needs to be a lot of elbow grease put into wiping it down. After the window is cleaned dry paper towels need to be wiped across the surface with a good deal of pressure to get all of the residual streaks left behind. I personally would not recommend this product. Performance Though this product does help to get any stuck residue off of a mirror it leaves streaks that leave a mirror or window looking dirty. Personally, this is the least effective cleaner I have used on either mirrors or windows. Having a streaky smudged windshield after having just cleaned it can be very frustrating, especially if the streaks are not seen until attempting to drive at night reducing visibility. Scent This product have a very good smell that is not very chemically, but is fresh.

There was a time when I only bought name brand products. But, because I am always interested in saving time and money, I have begun to try the 'generic' products as they are sometimes called. Window cleaner is a necessity when you have small children. This one removes fingerprints and smudges very well. I think because it has some ammonia in it that it does an even better job. The smell is not offensive and you don't seem to have to rub as hard to remove dirt either. The Great Value brand is much cheaper and that's always better. I have learned that Great Value is a great value. It definitely saves me time and money.

I bought great value streak free glass cleaner with ammonia and I was 100% let down. I thought I would save money and get the great value brand and I shouldn't have done that. The smell is absolutely horrible and it doesn't leave a streak free shine like advertised. I will not be buying this product ever again.

I went to Wal-Mart to get glass cleaner and noticed this product. I have bought the bargain brand or store brand in the past, and for the most part Wal-Mart store brand products are great. However, to my dismay, I discovered this product is an exception to the rule. This product is not streak free, it left a filmy residue on my windows. However, they weren't joking about being with Ammonia because that is exactly what my entire house smelt like when I was done. I had to spray Febreeze to get the ammonia smell out. It was absolutely disgusting! I will never buy this product again! Performance It does not work. The windows actually looked WORSE after I was done using it! It created smudges and streaks and left a filmy residue. I am quite disappointed that Wal-Mart would put out such a dismal product on their shelves. Scent Unless you like the smell of Ammonia I would avoid this product at all costs it will make your entire house smell like it.

I have at one time or another purchased many different brands of glass cleaner. Great Value Streak-Free Glass Cleaner with Ammonia works well. My family and I have a fairly tight budget and paying double for windex is not worth it to me. I would recommend this to family and friends. Performance This comes in a 32-ounce size. It has a stray trigger that works well. I find that streaking of mirrors and windows depends a lot upon how dirty they are and how they are cleaned. If windows and mirrors are extra dusty and dirty it is going to take a second cleaning to get a streak-free, clear clean. Spraying enough and drying the surface completely helps also. I feel this product works just fine. Scent The glass cleaner smells like most glass cleaners. Of course this is not the best scent in the world but it is cleaner with ammonia in it. However, it does smell clean and the scent is not overpowering.

Great Value makes some 'great' products and their streak-free glass cleaner with ammonia is no exception! It works well and really cleans my mirrors and windows! It is also much cheaper than the name brands out there. I recommend using this. I use it all the time and get great results. Performance Does a good job of cleaning streaks and dirt from mirrors and windows Scent A bit strong, but what can you expect when it has Ammonia in it!

I was a true Windex-only glass cleaner kind of cleaner! I decided to give the Great Value Streak-Free Cleaner a try because it seemed more affordable than the brand name glass cleaners! At first, it seemed to be the exact same thing as "regular" glass cleaner - color, smell, etc. When I first used it on my bathroom mirrors, it seemed to clean really well and I was pretty impressed! I came back later in the day when the natural lighting in the room had changed and couldn't believe all the streaks all over the mirror! I was pretty disappointed! It took another good cleaning or two until it looked streak-free! However, I would much prefer it to be clean the first time I clean, rather than having to clean it multiple times! Everything else about the product was great, but I definitely won't go back to using it! I really believe the name brand glass cleaner seems to clean much better than this generic Great Value cleaner!

**Great Value Streak-Free Glass Cleaner with Ammonia** is a glass cleaner that seems to work well for a lower cost than many of the name brand products. What I like about **Great Value Glass Cleaner**: - Less expensive than name brand - Large 32 ounce bottle - Spray trigger works well - Seems to work well on mildly to moderately dirty windows and glass tables. Some store brand glass cleaners seem to be very dilute--this one seems to be as strong as the higher end glass cleaners. What I don't like about Great Value Glass Cleaner: - I can actually save more money by purchasing large jugs of window washing fluid in the automotive section (without the antifreeze) and refilling the bottle. OK--I pinch pennies around here, but prices are going up and salaries are not exactly increasing at the same rate. - It won't work well on moldy surfaces or items that my children like to mash into the glass table. I think elbow grease is usually necessary for some of those messes. **My Viewpoint:** I do not like to wash windows, but if I have to wash them, I at least feel a little better if I feel like I have saved a little bit of money. **Great Value Streak-Free Glass Cleaner with Ammonia** seems to work as well as the name brand glass cleaning products for less money.

I usually find that buying store brand products works just as well as buying name brand products, but in my experience this Great Value Glass Cleaner has been one of the exceptions.  I use it to clean my mirrors and windows, and when I clean my mirrors, it has actually worked pretty well.  I haven't really had a problem with it in that department.  However, when I clean my windows with this glass cleaner, it leaves awful streaks that I don't even notice until the next morning when the sun is shining through my windows that are supposed to be nice and clean and clear.  I ended up having to use a vinegar/water solution to clean the streaks off of my windows that were left from this cleaner.  So if you're looking for a product that is inexpensive to clean your windows, I would suggest vinegar rather than this Great Value "streak-free" glass cleaner.  I haven't had a great experience with this one.
