Grease Review Summary

"Grease is the word!" This 1978 film has been drawing fans for the past thirty years, and even longer if you consider its tenure on Broadway. Viewpoints reviewers report that it's still a favorite of theirs, even though they know all the words by heart. You could say they're all "hopelessly devoted." With a story centered around teenagers in the 1950s, Grease furthered the career of John Travolta, who is still receiving rave reviews in last year's Hairspray. Olivia Newton-John, Jeff Conaway, and Stockard Channing also star. Reviewers call to attention the extras on the DVD, as the Grease 25th anniversary party, including much of the original cast, is included. It will "take you back to high school."

I am actually surprised there are not more reviews for Grease here. Grease came out when I was about 12 or 13 years old. At that age I thought it was one of the best movies that I had ever seen. I am sure most women my age remember playing the album and singing pretending they were Sandra Dee singing to Danny, or what ever boy they happened to like at that time. Grease Is Still the Word Almost 30 Years Later

With Christmas coming, I have DVD's on the brain especially since Santa might bring me one or two. This DVD is so cool it has a leather jacket cover. It's Grease! The jacket even has the little Grease and T-Birds logos on it. It was the first DVD I bought after I got a DVD player last Christmas. This movie is the best. I am a collecting of anything that has to do with this movie. I can watch it over and over again with it never getting dull or boring. I love the music lyrics and the movement that they have chosen for each song. The setting is great as well and the 50's dress at high school. I wish I lived back in those days. Takes you back to high school with none of the homework!

Grease is my favorite movie of all. I really do believe that it is a good movie for adolescents because of the issues that they deal with my have come from the 50's-70's era, but bottom line is, they are the same issues now adays, just more publicly pronounced. Grease is one of those guilty pleasure musicals for me. I'm not sure I agree with the ultimate message of changing yourself for someone else, but maybe it's more that we all have to be open to compromise when dealing with other people. — — Sandy and Danny have a romantic start, and then a bumpy ride when they get back to school and their peers. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! that is not much more i can say about this movie... this is the only movie that i can watch over and over and never get tired of .... i have watched this movie once a week since i was little.... i love it ..... I love this movie. I have had to watch it over 50 times. Our drama class even did it for our senior year production. John is the best then and now. Olivia can sing her heart out. I wish they still made movies like this. Todays kids don't seem to get what clean movies are like. This has no volience, foul words, or any of the bad stuff that is in todays teen movies.
