What a fantastic surprise our stay at the Graycliff was! We did not expect to step back into a time of completely personalized Old World style service & elegance. However, that's exactly what we did. Anything we wanted or needed was only a phone call away. We called the desk & anything we wanted... read full review »

Very friendly reservations people and helpful. Slow to answer mails though.

Shopping: Short Walk, Take the ferry to Paradise Island much cleaner ande more tourist friendly. Don't go to the Bahamas by Air you pay $62 per passenger tax on a $50 flight! and you need a Passport as US Drivers License...

The Graycliff in Nassau was located within walking distance to downtown shopping and the port area. The rooms were like a bed and breakfast Inn and decorated with wicker, hardwood floors, oriental rugs, ceiling fans. The bathroom was all marble and had a large jacuzzi with plenty of mirrors and lighting. The only two annoying things were the small tv in the armoire to the left of the bed which was hard to see and the plastic wrapped mattresses. The staff was more than helpful and I would definately stay there again. This was one of the nicer hotels on the island.

Shopping: Short Walk, The port is nearby...

Although I called requesting an early check-in in which I was told our room was ready, when we arrived, we had to leave our baggage and clothing in a dirty office closet as the room. in fact, was not prepared. We came back at the check-in time and they were ready for us. Other than that, it was all I expected, an especially beautiful bathroom lacking only decent water pressure. Good service, clean albeit quaint surroundings, close to downtown, disappointing cuisine. All-in all, nothing above average to report.

Shopping: Short Walk, Walk to the Hard Rock for inexpensive, exciting food. ...

This is a fine old hotel property with an excellent restaurant. It lacks a business center so it is difficult for a business traveler. There is an excess of deferred maintenance on the site. If the latter were corrected and they added business amenities then this would indeed be a fine hotel.

Shopping: Short Walk, The hotel is just above the beginning of Bay Street which is the prime shopping area.
