This hotel offers great ammenities. It is located in the heart of Union Square in the picturesque city of San Francisco. It has coffee shops, great concierge service, the rooms are just beautifuk, clean and the decoration is impecable.

The bathroom products are just delightful. For example a massaging soap bar ...a small tv in the bathroom.

The rooms are also very spacious. The beds are comfortable and the linens are posh. They have just the right amount of furniture in the room.

They have a fine diining restaurant in the top floor with a spectacular view of the city. The food is great and the service...

My partner and I spent the July 4th weekend at this hotel and had a great stsy. Despite missing our flight and arriving a day late, the hotel were very good in checking us in and also gave us a room on the 24th floor with a lovely view of the city. I used the fitness center and we had breakfast most days in the restaurant on the 36th floor (there is also a bar so the views at night are very nice). I would say that this hotel is suitable for anyone (couples, families or business); staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were adequate (though a little small) and having the fitness room... read full review »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt at Union Square in San Francisco. The beds were very comfortable and the view was spectacular. The hotel is well situated for getting around the city. However, the most outstanding thing about the Grand Hyatt is the staff. We arrived at 2am and had not had dinner. The front dest staff arranged for take out to be brought to our room, and it arrived in 15 minutes! The Concierge staff were excellent; giving us great recommendations for restaurants and what to see and do in the city. They arranged for a car to be brought to the hotel. In other... read full review »

For a Hyatt which I expect to be a cut above the average, I was somewhat disappointed with a few matters. The room was not very clean, the bathroom floor was very dirty and hair left behind on the floor as well as on the bed. The towels were what we consider sandpaper towels, very rough. Other luxury hotels provide better linins for showering/bathing. The bathing products shampoo, etc. was very nice. On the upside, the staff was very professional and good at getting the job done. The staff made the stay much more pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and that was a pleasure. The location... read full review »

The Grand Hyatt was a hit with my group. The location made it easy for shopping and dining, all within walking distance. China Town was two blocks away and who wouldn't like that??? The view from the romms is terrific! My room, in particular, over looked Union Square from the 12th floor. It was great watching the action and exhibits from the huge floor to ceiling windows. When you go to the 36th floor for dining, the view is breathtaking! I can't wait to stay there again!

Shopping: Short Walk, Lori's Cafe,a cute restaurant fashioned after the 50's soda fountain bars, around the corner a block...

I called the Grand Hyatt the day before we were to arrive to confirm a King/non-smoking room and even got a confirmation number. When we arrived, there wasn't a room ready for us and no apology for the inconvenience. We got to the hotel around 8:00pm and got our room after 10:00. Luckily, we hadn't eaten so we went up to their one restaurant and had dinner. The appetizers were wonderful but the two fish dishes we ordered were mediocre at best. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were torn between which Hyatt location to choose (Union Square or Fishermans Warf)... read full review »

The Grand Hyatt and its personnel were wonderful. The room was comfortable, the beds were delicious. The Concierge staff was simply top notch! They had wonderful recommendations for dinner and when we left for the airport the town car was efficient and much better than all of the taxis we used. The only black mark was the service in the 36th floor bar. The servers were AMAZINGLY slow, so bad that we left that wonderful view more than once because we got tired of waiting for a fresh round. Enjoy this hotel, enjoy the wonderful city!

Everything was first class. We hada wonderful time. The room was large with a nice sitting area a good working space with computer hookup. The bed was comfortable and the down blanket was really cozy at night. We had a great view of the bay. The blackout drapes made it easy to get rest and the room was quiet. We were not disturbed by those around us at all.

Shopping: Short Walk, The hotel requires that you use thier mini-bar or they charge you for what you brin into the hotel. This was a pain in the butt. There is a Walgreens just a block away. Take the walk and buy your own bottled water, it will...

This Hyatt is a good hotel in a good location but it's time for it to be refurbished. I was told this is planned for later in the year. The room is a bit dated and upgrades are needed, but again nothing that would deter me from staying here again. The hotel has no wet facilities which was a disappointment. Still, it is well maintained and if you can get a special rate, it's worth the stay.

Shopping: Short Walk, Many fine shopping areas are close by; big department store chains; speciality shops... Also a large selection of dining establishments are close by....just be prepared to pay, after...

We enjoyed the hotel very much. The location was perfect for us and the view was beautiful. We did not spend much time in the room, however the time we spent was great. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was great! We loved San Francisco and I would want to stay again at the Grand Hyatt when we return.

Shopping: Short Walk, Shopping, dining, bus, taxi's everything is within a short walk. We walked to Chinatown, North Beach and Union Square area easily. We didn't shop. (I can do that anywhere) but it was very available and fun to see the windows as we walked by.

A stay at the Grand Hyatt when in San Francisco is a must. From the first class acccomodations to the superb city view from the Grandview lounge and restaurant on the 36th floor, the Grand Hyatt delivers. Within walking distance to China Town, the Ferry Building and excellent shopping and dining. Park your car and experience the city by means of cable car, light rail, taxi or on foot. The amenities at the Hyatt are worth the price. We will be back.

Dining: Short Walk, The Irish pub on O'Leary Street (ask at concierge) is highly recommended for the food, spirits and atmosphere.

The Grand Hyatt San Francisco was perfectly located near shopping and Chinatown; the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious with extra-comfortable beds, including pillow-top mattresses and down pillows and comforters. There was plenty of drawer space, a large closet, and an in-room safe. The views of the city and of San Francisco Bay were spectacular.

Shopping: Short Walk, Macy's, Banana Republic, and Sak's Fifth Avenue, as well as lots of smaller boutiques, surround the hotel and are within short walking distance.

The Grand Hyatt was extremely accomodating. We arrived very late due to delayed air travel and were feeling pretty down since we missed our dinner reservations at Aqua. They realized this and upgraded our room for the same price we were quoted for a much smaller room. It was quite a treat and our room included breakfast. Much thanks to the Hyatt.

Shopping: Short Walk, Found a great Spa and had a manicure. Sorry, can't remember the name of it. It was on the 7th floor of an office building right in the main shopping area before Macy's.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Big closet, vanity area and bathroom. Location was in walking distance to shopping areas, chinatown, and dining. Also 1 block to cable cars that will take you to everything else. I would suggest dining outside of the hotel as the prices in the restaurant were excessive ($55 for breakfast for 2). Also valet parking was $43 a day while the parking lot around the corner was $17 - $27 a day.

Shopping: Short Walk, Food and shopping are in short walking distance of the hotel.

The Grand Hyatt hotel was easy to find for us who visited San Francisco for the first time! It was near Union Square and the station of BART. It costed only $5.15 from SF Int'l Airport. We could walk around the hotel and found many good restaurants there. We also enjoyed shopping around the hotel.

Shopping: Short Walk, Departmentstores, brand shops are just a few blocks from the hotel. You can also find good restaurants around the hotel. I found a good and reasonable restaurant of Thai food!!
