Great but not for a family with smaller car.

Safe on the road, budget conscious, willing to pay for quality, frequent driver

We registered for this car seat/stroller combo (G-Galore pattern) after alot of research on safety features and convenience items such as the one-handed collapse ability, cup holders, and drop down basket.

It also surpassed alot of other car seats, with or without the stroller combination in that the car seat weight limit went to maximum of 30 lbs...most others are all 20 lb maximums. What any reviewed failed to tell you was how heavy 30 lbs of baby plus the weight of the car seat (10 lbs itself) actually is and how infrequently you'd want to tote them both to and from the car.

Also, while it has an awesome safety record and is very sturdy, not one of the reviews we seen mentioned that if you don't have a mini-van or an SUV, this car seat facing backwards makes it next to impossible to allow anyone to sit in the front seat when this is installed. Apparantly, this only happens when baby is using it rear-facing. We don't know for sure as our 8 month old is still using it that way and will probably be out of it before he is ready to be forward facing as he is 20 lbs already.
