I love the base for the Graco Snugride 35 that we just got for our 9 week old. The Graco carseat snaps right into the base and makes for an easy "in-and-out" of the car with the baby. The car seat base has all safety features and when installed correctly, is snugly attached to the back car seat. If I wanted to take it out for more passenger space, it would be easy to do and then put it back it with no problem. I like that the "Important" parts of the car seat and base are bright orange so you know where the harness needs to go and you know what to pull to release the car seat. It's an excellent marketing point for Graco to sell the carseat with one base but sell bases seperately for families with multiple cars!

Five years ago before my daughter arrived we bought a second Graco car seat base and this year before our son was born we did the same.  We had hoped to reuse the extra car seat base from my daughter but were disappointed to find it didn't fit with the newer model Graco car seat we purchased. That aside, we have been very pleased with the additional car seat bases.  If you are a multi-car family it is a must have in my book. Transporting baby is easy and safe by simplying latching the car seat in and unlatching to get out--no selt belts to worry about after the initial buckling of the base.  If you are the type of parents who swap picking up and dropping baby off from places it is a convenient solution. We have given my mom a base as well since she takes baby frequently but she was nervous and unsure of the whole buckling in process. We latched her base in and she just leaves it there ready to get baby safely when needed.

I think the concept of the SnugRide car seat base is a great idea, and if it actually worked in my car (2003 Pontiac Vibe), I would be thrilled with it! My car has the LATCH system, and this base just doesn't work with it. First of all, it will not "lock" in and instead is loose. It appears to be secure, but while the car is moving it can become unsecured and the seat can overturn. It also had a very poor altogether fit in my car. It is so much more convenient than buckling the physical car seat into the car every time, but I'd much rather my son be safely secured than have the added convenience of the base. This base does, however, work in my mother's car (2009 Honda CRV), so it's not altogether useless. My best advice is this: check to make sure the base is compatible with your make and model before you buy it, otherwise it'll be a complete waste of money and you'll drive yourself crazy trying to "make" it work!

I purchased an extra base for my husbands car.  This is a great extra to add in when registering for a new baby.  At first i was trying to save money and say nah i dont need it i will always use my car to take the baby around.  However, being that i am I work full time out of my house it was great having an extra base in my husbands car.  There were so many times that we split up our schedule to accomodate our full time jobs.  It was very convienient that my husband was able to pick up my son from the babysitter and did not have to come home first to get my car.  It is worth the extra money to invest in buying a second base when purchasing the snug ride car seat.  It is easy to just snap the car seat in and run to the next errand.  I also am very happy with the car seat in general because it is extremely light weight and can snap it into a snap n go.  The base was easy to install expecially with the latch system in my car.  I definately recommend this item.

Since my husband and I drive different cars, having an extra base makes it very helpful when moving the carseat around.  We can just pop the carseat into either car in seconds and don't have to second guess that it is secure or strapped in properly.  It saves so much time and effort. I also love that the base is adjustable for height so you can make the carseat at the proper recline and it has the latch system so I don't have to run a seatbelt through it.  It was very easy to install; I just latch it right in the seat. My mom bought a base too so when we go to visit my parents in Atlanta, I don't have to lug our base along with us on the plane.  It makes me feel safer having her carseat in the base rather than buckled in with the seatbeat. I don't think we couldhave lived without this and it was definitely a luxury owning two.  I would definitely recommend to any family with two or more cars to have two bases.

We have a Graco car seat that we got as a present at my shower.  We purchased the seperate base since we have two cars.  This base fits the car seat perfect and is great to keep in the cars.  We feel much safer with the base than using the car seat with just the seat belt.  I would recommend this to anyone that has twe cars but does'nt have the money to purchase two seats.

the SnugRide extra base is wonderful to have.  If you have another vehicle that your child travels in it makes it so much easier to transport your infant from one car to the other.  You can even put your baby in with one arm with a fair amount of ease.

This is a wonderful purchase. We have two cars and it allows us to use the Graco Snugride in either car. The base is a bit difficult to get in (my husband had to put it in) just to be sure everything is tight, etc. But once installed it is great!!
