Feels cheap

safety conscious, experienced parent, not rich, married, looks for comfort for the kids, looking for value

We bought this for our daughter after using a similar one for our son 5 years earlier. The straps are very close to the mechanism that holds it into the base, and get caught after adjustment. The handle feels like it's about to break when carrying it, and my daughter is not even close to the maximum weight. The Safety First brand car seats are identical, and are cheaper. Not a good value.
