Most HelpfulWe recently added the Graco Toddler Safeseat to our vehicle when my son reached the age and weight transition and graduated from his infant seat. I had checked reviews on safety ratings for this particular seat and they fell into the above average category. However, there were several other brands that...

Most HelpfulI bought the Graco Safe Seat 1 in Portica because I liked the idea of having my son in his infant seat a bit longer. I was so excited to use it, However when it got time to take my son home from the hospital, I hit a problem. My 6lb. 6.7 oz. son wouldn't fit in it. He was too small. They say the...
review »Before I purchased the Graco Infant SafeSeat I read all the reviews for car seats at Babies R Us. I noticed that the Graco brand was consistently high in user ratings in all product categories, not just car seats. I purchased the Infant SafeSeat in the French Roast color pattern. I have not experienced any problems with my car seat and I have been using it for 10 months now. I like how the straps are adjustable for when your little one grows, but they are kind of a pain to adjust. You can use the car seat alone or pop it into the base that is strapped into your car; either way,...
review »I would like to say this car seat has stood the test of time. My daughter is 16months and I am just now switching to a convertible car seat (by the way she is only 23lbs so I don't have to. The only reason I am is we are giving ours to a friend). I also loved the selection of patterns offered for the safe seat & the matching strollers. My daughter never loved riding in the car but she always looked comfortable and her neck never slipped or hunched over as I have seen with other car seats.
The seat is big and a little on the heavy side but I have never felt one that wasn't. I was very...

When we were getting ready to purchase our first car seat for the baby, we made sure to do a lot of research on what we needed. Once we knew what we needed, we then looked around for something that looked pretty good when it was in use as well. We ended up purchasing one of the Graco SafeSeat car seats, with the specific model being the "Eclipse". There were a number of different fabric choices, but we wanted to get one with neutral coloring in case we ended up having more kids later on down the road (which we did). It was affordable, and we have already become very happy with this car...
review »at first the idea of carrying a infant seat with a 30 lb baby in it made me cringe.. but the seat helped me keep my son in a bucket seat past a year!
most babies will out grow in height before weight which was a lifesaver for my tall son.I just wish this seat had been around for my big baby daughter who outgrew infant bucket at 4.5 months old
one thing that was super annoying was the shade.. it was too small and popped off easily as well as falling in the way.
seat itself is also on the heavy side
The Graco Safeseat gets a good review from me. The only complain that I read about it before purchasing is that it's a little too heavy. I am a first-time parent, and haven't used other car seats, so I can't compare. It's definitely manageable to me, though, and I'm pretty out of shape after a "lazy" pregnancy!
I liked that the color on this seat is very gender neutral -- gray with some green and white circles. I figured it would be good for future children as well.
It's very sturdy, and probably better suited for colder temperatures (we live in Houston). My baby got very hot in...
review »The safeseat is a great carseat, but make sure it fits in your car! My daughter loves the seat, fits well, and it isn't too heavy to carry with her in it. Plus it is fantastic to use with a grayco stroller as well. It is so easy to take her from car to stroller using the safeseat along with the stroller.
The value of the seat is good, it is sturdy and takes the beating it gets by using it daily. Being able to have a base in each car is also helpful. My husband has one base, and I bought a second. We are able to move her from car to car, take her out of the car, etc with ease...
review »Somewhere around the time my daughter turned 18 months, my husband and I went looking for a new car seat for our other car. She had grown out of her infant car seat long ago. We had a car seat for one car, but not the other car. So I started looking everywhere for what I thought to be a safe, good buy.
In my research, I came across the Graco SafeSeat Step2 and completely fell in love. The car seat had the recline option, which was great when she was still pretty little, however, now that she's 4, her legs sort of get wedged between her car seat and the car passenger seat so it's no longer...
review »Our original reason for purchasing the SafeSeat infant carseat was because with our last baby we had an Evenflo carseat that only went up to 22 lbs and 26 inches. While my daughter was tiny and would still fit in it now, at 2 years old, according to the weight limit, she neared the 26 inch height limit around 8 months so we had to buy a convertible carseat for her.
This time I wanted something that would last my new infant longer. The SafeSeat was very new when I was pregnant with my first child so I never really looked into it, but I began wishing we'd had one shortly after she was born. So when...
We were given a Graco SafeSeat for our baby shower. We had used a Graco SnugRide with our other son and already knew and trusted the Graco name. We love the SafeSeat. The fabric is very soft and plush. The straps are smooth and do not have rough edges. The harness/buckle system is easy to use. The carseat fits in the car well and snaps securely in the base unit. A nice feature this base has over the other bases is a twist dial where you can adjust the angle of the seat to make sure it is installed properly. This is very simple to use especially if you use the latch system. The...
review »After weeks of comparison shopping for the "perfect carseat" I decided on the Graco Safeseat. I liked that the weight limit was higher than most infant carseats, up to 30lbs and 32 in. long. I really expected for my little one to stay in this carseat til she was a year old/30 lbs. I got the Jenny pattern and the matching metrolite stroller, as well as the matching pack-n-play( what can I say- it was a super cute pattern!)
The safeseat costs more than most carseats- but given that it is designed to last longer makes it seem worth the additional $$. It was also rated an A in the Baby...
