We bought this car seat for our third child. Since we knew he was going to be a boy and boys weigh more I wanted a rear facing seat that he would be able to use till he was at least one. Our first son out grew his infant seat around 9 months, he was barly sitting up and it was inconvienent to take him out of the car seat and put him into shopping carts etc. This seat may be a tad bit bigger than other car seats but for us it was the only choice. A real bonus for us was that we already had a graco stroller and it fits it like a glove so we didn't have to go out and buy a new stroller…

I bought this for my third child. My boys used the Graco Snugride and even though my younger one stayed in it until he was almost 1, my older outgrew it at around 8 months. I wanted something that could hold the third until he was at least 1 - not so much because I hated convertible seats but because I want to be able to use the snap and go stroller because the regular Graco stroller is enormous and the boys already drag tons of stuff around. I registered for this product. I am a new parent and did not consider a couple of months down the road. The seat is very safe and very convienent. I love that it's easy to pop and lock it right into the base. Once you have the base installed the seat just pops right in and locks. This is great! However, the seat is a bit bulky and does not fit easily into shopping carts. It is also heavier than other car seats. This is not a problem until your baby starts growing. I love our new Graco SafeSeat. Not only is it easy to install; i can remove it with ease when I use my husbands car. It is so cute, however it is not very personalizeable. Whether you are in hard times and not doing well financially, this seat is good for you. It is not to expensive, and safety should be a parents first priority while driving with their children. My daughter really loves this seat. It must be so comfortable, because she sleeps really good when we are out and about. Which she never did in her last seat. After being T-boned in a car accident with both children in the car I bought this seat for my 6 week old son. Orginally we had a snug-ride, but I liked the fact we could use this one until he was 30 lbs. Babies grow so fast and this would make it wo where we could keep him rear facing and not have to change seats so quickly. And even though it is large I thought it "protect" him more. This seat is great. I love the 30 lb. weight limit - it really lengthens the life of an infant seat. The portability of the carrier is great - easy to go from my car to Grandma's car and anyone else's car we were traveling in! — It is bulky though, the pre-teens in the back seat with the baby didn't have much elbow room. I have bought over 3 carseats. And fianlly found the one I like. THis seat is comfortable and doesnt heat up when it hot! so my son can get right in and go. Its comfortable for long rides. I love it.
