After being T-boned in a car accident with both children in the car I bought this seat for my 6 week old son. Orginally we had a snug-ride, but I liked the fact we could use this one until he was 30 lbs. Babies grow so fast and this would make it wo where we could keep him rear facing and not have to change seats so quickly. And even though it is large I thought it "protect" him more. I also liked the red and black color. I am not a huge fan of large cartoons on my baby equipment.
