just as good as the more expensive brands

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

So i started a journey to find a new car seat for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and i had no idea were to start. I stared with a ton of supper expensive brands and man were they outta my league. So I went to a site of a brand we all know and trust. I found Nautilus so I asked around. A few of my friends a car seat PROS, and  they told me this was it, this is what i wanted. Its not crazy expansive but its also not a $35.00 Wal-Mart car set. It has all the features of a crazy expansive car seat and I CAN AFFORD IT! So i went for it and haven't looked back since. Ihave only one complaint about it sometimes the center buckle on one side is hard to un-do. My d...

Love our Nautilus 3-in-1

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We bought this for our first daughter when she turned one year old. I loved that it was multifunctional and would grow as she grows. We have used it for three years now and just love it. The carseat is great because it provides the safety that we trust and is extremely easy and convenient to use. The straps are easily adjusted as well as the head height. My daughter loves that it has a cup holder and I do to. Such a convenient and great thing to have. It also has "side pocket holes" for toys and such. The carseat is easily cleaned and reassembled. I like that we will be able to use this for many many more years. The seat is wide and does have a larger footprint in the car. So it is difficult...

My husband said it was easy to install and didn't have a problem--the size of the car seat helped as well!

My daughter fits into the car seat great--it's not to restricting to were she's uncomfortable to move.

I have an evenflo car seat in my husbands truck and I really like how that one secures the child in compared to this one where you have to put your finger on the latch to release the straps and the clasp in front of the chest can be stubborn since you have to push it in really tight to release it; maybe once it's been worn in a little more it'll be easier but right now I have to use both hands to unsecure the clasp.

Graco Nautilus- 3 in 1 Monster of a carseat!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I had THE BEST carseat stroller combo given to me at my baby shower, I was so excited when I received it. My only disappointments with the set was, as my baby grew, the carseat, did not. I needed a new carseat, and fast. So I began the great car seat search for a replacement.

I knew right off the bat that I wanted a convertible carseat. My son had grown quickly, and if this was going to be a "growing" trend, I needed something that could last for quite some time. (After all, quality carseats don't run cheap!)

I came across Graco Nautilus among reviews on nearly every "Baby Friendly" site. I was hooked right off the bat. It has features such as:

  • 3-in-1 multi-mode Car Seat

  • Extended...

My daughter was in a Britax Roundabout until we got into an accident.  She was about to grow out of it because she is tall so I was going to go with a Britax Frontier anyway, but we wanted a car seat right away and not have to wait for a pink one to ship.  I had researched online for a long time and even though this was not my first choice, I am happy to have saved $100 by buying this instead.  It is comfortable for my daughter and she absolutely loves being in it.  She has never complained of discomfort, even when we drove 12 hours on a road trip.  She loves the cup holder and the open space in the armrests.  She hides her Littlest Pet Shops in there and is hap...

Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 convertible Car seat is bulky

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I bought Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 convertible car seat for my daughter several years ago when she was needing a convertible seat, she is now 3.5. I thought it was a good investment at the time since it's a really nice seat, cool features, plus I didn't have to buy an additional booster seat once she was ready for one. Having just switched it to a booster seat, I can tell you that I would rather pay the money for another seat than wrestle with this thing again!!!!! It's a very very nice seat, don't get me wrong, but it is soheavy to lug around if you have to switch vehicles or something like that, the straps are hard to adjust, and it's very bulky, takes up a ton of room in the car. I'l...

Keep them in a 5 point booster longer.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I bought a Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Convertible Car Seat for my then 4 year old who had outgrown the height limit on her other car seat.  The Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Convertible Car Seat goes up to 53" with the 5 point harness, which is one of the highest limits available, and without having to spend several hundred dollars on a Britax.

The Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Convertible Car Seat is very cushy and well padded.  My daughter said she felt like she was sitting in an arm chair.  The head rest is easily adjusted, as are the harness heights.

She has now outgrown the 5 point harness and is on to using it as a belt positioning high back booster.  The guide for the seat-belt slides up and down easily for a customized fit.  The better you can position the seat belt, the safer they are.

I really like the positioning of the cup holder.  Most car seats have it down by the bottom of the seat where kids can't even reach it, but this one has it right in their range.

We purchased this carseat for my son when he was 2 years old. He's only 3 so we haven't used it as a belt positioning booster yet. He thinks it's comfy and loves the storage and cup holder. it does recline... but not nearly enough. his little head always falls forward when he sleeps. our other carseat is a maxi cosi priori which he will max out weight wise soon. it's nice to have a booster that will last him a while. shame it doesn't rear face as i like to keep the kiddos rear facing as long as possible. overall i'm pretty happy with it. pretty easy to clean, has plenty of space for him to store toys and things to keep himself busy while riding. my biggest complaint is the latch system. it's just a regular clip system. the other two carseats we own have the "super latch" (the maxi cosi priori and the evenflo triumph advance) they are much easier to install and uninstall. makes for a tighter fit as well. over all, worth the price and great that it grows with him.

From Toddler to Big Kid!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I purchased this seat when my daughter turned 4 years old. I needed a seat that I was comfortable having my daughter in, but that she wouldn't out grow in a year. I love the 3 in 1 qualities of this seat. She has plenty of room to stay harnessed for at least 2 more years. Then, once I'm ready to move her to a high back booster that can be switched quickly and easily.

The harness can be used from 20 pounds up to 65 pounds which is great. Because I know my daughter will be safely harnessed for years to come. Then it goes to 100 pounds as a booster, either highback booster or backless booster.

The seat cushion itself is very soft and plush. It doesn't get too hot like some other c...

The Graco Nautilus is the best convertible car seat

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Graco Nautilus is a fabulous car seat. You can use it from infancy and then convert it all the way up to a child's backless seat. The weight maximum is 100 lbs. We absolutely love that it has the extended use 5 point harness. My son needed to be switched to a convertible/booster seat at 2 bc he was already too tall for other that were on the market. All of the other car seats used the actual seat belt in the car which I knew he was not old enough for even though he met the height requirements. Very happy that this car seat has all the heigh adjustments and ability to remove the back for when he gets older. This was the 3rd car seat we bought for him and I'm very happy to know that we'll ...

affordable and safe

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I am very picky when it comes to car seats. I purchased this seat because it was comparable to the higher priced seats in tests & personal reviews. It's very easy to install and has fit in a variety of vehicles. My son at 4.5 years still has plenty of growing room and still uses the 5 point harness, which we will until he outgrows it! I love that it will convert to a booster and we do not need to purchase another seat. I do wish it reclined a little more but understand that the recline is part of safely using a seat. His head does topple forward when napping but I have an old receiving blanket that we roll up and use as a pillow. It's easy to take apart to clean and the fabric washes up nicely (hand wash!!). Only down side it how heavy it is. We travel a lot by plane and it's a chore to tug this around. But I wouldn't do it any other way!

Graco nautilus is a well worth the money!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I bought the Graco Nautilus when my twins were getting too big for the 5 pt harness in the old seats they were in. I felt they were not big enough to go in a booster seat and the Graco Nautilus was recommended to me as one they could stay in the 5 pt harness for longer. They can ride in the 5 pt harness until 65 lbs. At 8 years old and 55 lbs they are still within the height/weight requirements for the 5 pt system. The seat is very easy to use and easy to clean. The built in cup holder is an added bonus. Another plus is the side storage in the armrests for crayons and toys or snacks. Later when we stop using the 5 pt harness it converts to a high back booster and could also be used as a boos...

Great seat!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have 4 children and we have been through many carseats over the years. My oldest is 7 and my youngest is 1. I am big on the whole safety thing and making sure they are in the right seats, and that seats are thrown out at expiration. When my now 7 year old was 4 or 5 she was at the height limit as well as weight for the britax seat she was in. It was either a booster or attempt to find a seat she could still be in that felt safer than a booster. The Nautilus was it! With such a high weight and height limit it really was one of the best baby purchases I have made to date. She is now in a booster, but I have my 3 and 5 year olds in one. They love their seats. The cupholders and how t...

Great forward facing seat

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We bought this seat and used it from the time my son was 12-18 months.  We recently learned how important it is for babies to be rear facing for as long as possible so we sold it and got a convertible one instead.  But for those that want their baby forward facing after the recommended 1 yr and 20 lbs, this is great seat.  It can even be used as a booster for up to 100 lbs so it will grow with your child and last a long time.  It was fairly easy to install and isn't bulky in the back seat of a small car.  My son seemed very comfortable in it and he loved having the big drink cup holder in the armrest.  I think my only complaint was that the harness straps seemed...

The Graco Nautilus is last car seat that we'll ever need

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We purchased for our daughter's first birthday.  We previously owned a Graco snug ride infant carrier/seat that we were pleased with so I wanted to stick with the Graco brand that we know and trust.  We selected a pink model and purchased the seat at Babies'R'Us.  It was somewhat expensive, but I think it is worth it for the quality of the materials.  We use the latch system the seat attaches very easily to the car.  I love the cup holder feature.  While my daughter is too young for snacks and drinks in the car, the cup holder is great for holding her toy cell phone that she uses in the car.  I love that this is a convertible car seat and will be the only o...
