Graco Lovin' Hug Baby Swing Review Summary

Durability, serenity and versatility: that's what parents think of when the Graco Lovin' Hug Baby Swing comes to mind. Not all baby swings work well with any size baby, but the Lovin' Hug Baby Swing from Graco is commended by all parents for its ability to swing their babies calmly to sleep no matter how quickly they grow. Multiple sound settings and six speed options make it possible for parents to adjust the baby swing to their baby's needs. Unfortunately, there is no moving mobile attached to the swing, but that doesn't stop parents from naming the Graco Lovin' Hug Baby Swing "the best swing for calming baby!"

This is the best swing I have ever used. I have had 4 altogether since I had my daughter almost 5 years ago. I have used the basic Graco swing and it doesnt come close to the quality of this one. I love that it was easy to put together, I didnt even need the instructions. I love that it has so many songs...

I have several points of contention with the Graco Lovin' Hug Swing. I think it's unfair to rate a product based on how individual babies respond to it (for the record, my baby haaaaaaates this swing), so this review is my take on the product itself.

The biggest problem is the mobile. When the swing...

When I was registering for baby items when I was first expecting, A wwing is one of thos ethings I didn't register for.  We don't have a lot of room in our livingroom and I didn't want all these things thrown all over - swings, exercausers, bouncy chairs - etc.  But one of my girlfriends picks up this Graco swing for us.  We set it up right away when we got home and it's really a nice looking, no frills, basic swing that swings back and forth.  The first night back from teh hospital we put our son in there while he was awake and let him rock a bit.  After a few minutes he went right to sleep. ...

I bought the Graco Lovin Hug Swing for each one of my sons. My first son had very difficult sleeping patterns for the first few months, and this swing saved my sanity! He would have trouble falling asleep unless he was feeding or in motion, and driving around the block at 4 am quickly got old! I relied on this swing to help me get a little sleep. My son would sleep for the longest periods of time in this swing, and it worked wonders for my second son as well. It has 6 levels of speed to choose from, as well as some pre-programmed music options. I loved that you could choose from music, white noise,...

I started having my children in the era of the wind up swing.  My sisters and I all had our rides in wind up swings.  Wow, what an improvement!

This swing is quiet (without the clicking of winding handle), it can be set at different speeds for different age babies, and I could walk by and turn it off and it would stop gradually once the baby was asleep.  That way the baby STAYED asleep.

The chair is a sturdy plastic that can be wiped down, but the cover was removable and machine washable - LOVED that.  It had a cute blue pattern that was appropriate for a girl OR a boy.  Also loved that,...

I've always been told that one of the greatest helpers for a new mom and dad is a baby swing. Babies love the soothing, gentle swinging motions and it leaves mom and dad's hands free to do other things.

My friend's father got us the Graco Lovin' Hug baby swing for Christmas a couple months ago and I absolutely love it! It's easy to put together, easily folds to put away, and the cloth seat simply unsnaps so it can be washed.

The swing comes with six control settings, ten soothing, good quality songs, four or five nature sounds, volume control, a timer setting for sounds and swing for intervals...

I love this swing. I just had a baby boy named Kaleb, and he is two months old. He has had a hard time getting to sleep, so I thought maybe if I got him a swing he would be a lot happier. It has been wonderful to have, especially since he is hard to get to sleep. I think the graco swing was the best twenty five dollars I have ever spent. The swing is a greyish green color, and has a little toy built on it. THe speeds go up to six, and it also plays some classical music. It really soothes my child, and boy does he love to swing. I think he really enjoys it. I do not know who invented the baby swing,...

This swing was  a true lifesaver! It was amazing! Granted didn't last too long because it's meant for infants only really. It does hold up to 30 pounds but what 2 year old wants to sit in a swing? So It lasted from birth to about 7-8 months with us! Great music on it as well. My daughter was colicky, wouldn't sleep anywhere but my arms. Well we bought this swing when she was about a week old. She slept in it every night for 4 months! Granted I did replace a lot of batteries, but it was a small price to pay. I could actually roll around in bed again finally. I would wake up and my arm was all cramped...

This Graco swing is quiet, with multiple speeds, songs, and seat adjustments.

The swing is durable and can be easily cleaned. Cover is removable and can be thrown in washing machine.  It comes in various patterns and can be purchased to match the playpen and other accessories. Mine was purchased for me for the birth of my first daughter and because it was a unisex color I also used it for my son. It was very sturdy so no worries about it tipping over like older swings.

Even though it does use batteries it did not need changed much. I believe it took 4 D batteries.

The swing has multiple...

This swing is great! I have owned seven different swings in the last two years of doing daycare. This swing is the only one that offered enough support and cradled the child. It is a very good quality swing, It was easy to put together and I managed not to screw it up in any way. It is a very well contructed swing and it works very nicly. I love how it has different speeds becuase I have very small infants that just need a little bit of motion, then I have older children who like the swing to go faster. I enjoy the different music settings also. I like how the motion mobile rotates with a soothing...

After researching all the swings out there, we decided to register for this one based on other parent reviews and online consumer reviews. First of all, this swing is safe and sturdy and will accomodate our son as he grows. Second - it is great for newborns since it will recline to a size-appropriate position. Third - it is attractive and has great sound for such a small box and plays a wide variety of sounds. It runs on batteries (I would not want a cord to an electric outlet for safety reasons anyway), but if you are a smart parent you'll invest in a good battery recharger, rechargeable batteries...

The Graco Lovin' Hug Bab Swing is the best babysitter you could find.  Meaning that while Mom is wanting the baby to be happy and it is sleepy time you can't find a better way than to put baby in the swing and watch him or her quietly doze off to nite nite.  With the safety features the swing has you can relax and know that baby is secure and safe.  When baby awakes there is the toys on the toy bar to amuse, and occupy the baby and the music it plays is just so nice.  It is lullaby to their little ears.  The swing is movement activated so will automatically start up when the baby starts to...

My daughter got this for her baby shower.  She loves it.  When she comes to visit she takes it apart and brings it with her.  You can easily get the baby out when she is sleeping without waking her.  I have had others and by the time you get the baby out they are awake.  She likes to rock her to sleep in it and then lay her down for the night.  Or she can leave her in it while she does things around the house.  It has different settings and plays music.  You don't have to crank it up like the ones I had.  That just scared the baby and she didn't want to sit in it.  You can also recline...

My aunt bought me this swing for my baby shower. I loved it! On nights when I couldnt get my son to sleep I would put him in there and he would fall right off into lala land. My niece who is 9 months older then my son also loved  to go into it. She even learned to climb in and out of it on her own. She is now 20 months old and it still can push her. My other neice who is 4 months old also loves it! I think all three kids go in it at least once a day with the music on and the swing on and the batteries last a long time. Especially since my 20 month old niece weighs around 25lbs and my 4 month old... review »
